Albemarle & Bond Holdings PLC30 January 2007 ALBEMARLE & BOND HOLDINGS PLC "the Company" The Company hereby announces a transfer of shares was approved today in respectof Ordinary shares of 4p in the capital of the Company held by Albemarle & BondTrustee Limited ("the Trustee") as Trustee of the Albemarle & Bond PawnbrokersLimited Employee Benefit Trust ("the ESOP"). The ESOP was established for the purpose of facilitating the holding of sharesin the Company by or for the benefit of bona fide employees or former employeesof the Company and its subsidiaries. Following the exercise of options by an employee ("the Employee") on 30 January2007 and the transfer approved pursuant to the exercise of 7,000 Ordinary shares of 4p each held by the Trustee to the Employee, the Trustee now holds 255,250 Ordinary shares of 4p each in the capital of the Company as Trustee of the ESOP.
