That's what I heard too but he would say that whether he was going to production or not wouldn't he? He'd be around 67 by the time the mine really started producing - does he really want a few years of slog by converting an exploration company into a development one? I'd say about a 1% chance of that. The early MRE2 imho is to tee up an early bid. PEA may well arrive before Xmas - he said Q1 but I wouldn't read too much into that. Early/mid Jan perhaps depending on discussions with 3rd parties on funding etc.
Back of the envelope calculations for gv and others to refine -
MRE1 - 54km drilled - 7.4Mt at 0.3% Cu Eq
MRE2 - 133.6km drilled - 15.4Mt at 0.2% Cu Eq (or 14.4Mt at 0.3% Cu Eq)
Drilling to the end of 2018 - 180km in total ie another 46km.
If you take the same rate that applies between MRE1 and MRE2 you get an extra 4.0Mt Cu Eq, which then gives you 19.4Mt ie 25% more than in MRE2 and given 3 week turnaround in assays and a couple of weeks to update (let's call it MRE3) this could be announced in early Feb, just after PEA. Wouldn't that set the cat amongst the pigeons and fire up more interest? All imho and I've ignored high grade, non-Cascabel and 2019 drilling etc to keep it simple. This looks very positive to me.
