Not sure about that. Today's short mention might have just put it to bed until late Jan. Only reason to release info sooner is if they suddenly stop trading well. Continuing to trade well could be enough of a statement.

It has cleared the decks and makes MMX more attractive to any potential acquirer. Baggage dropped, only the future to look forward to.

RNS wasn't a trading update so for them to wax lyrical about trading is an unrealistic expectation. I expect the announcement at the end of January to be very upbeat with a solid forward look and not partially wasted in today's announcement.

It's good to see they were buying after breakout. Next set of results soon and the insider buying a few weeks back is also an excellent sign.

Yes, any advantage to .luxe appears to be eroding rapidly.

Might #3 be a reason for holding fire on the buyback so they can mop-up some of the mess?

bakky, most likely support should be higher than 6p but who knows if a limit was set, not a formula, and hasn't been looked at since it started. The sp hasn't been down there much so no buyback activity. It could be binary (buy/don't buy) with a fixed buy upto limit price. Wouldnt be a surprise if it's that simple.

An alternative view might be that any shares now bought back (at any price) is a wasted activity if a possible sale is in the offing at some overall company valuation. What difference does the float make in that case?

I think they have a support zone in mind with 6p being "only an idiot wouldn 't buy here".
