Too much credit is given to what management decide on return of capital to shareholders. They might run the show day-day with fiduciary duties with a mandate to increase valuation but the best way to return capital will be decided by largest holders who let their wants/needs be known.

Divi, no-divi, management will bend to largest holders. Smaller holders are just along for the ride.

The buyback might even be partially in place in case they annoy smaller holders who then decide to dump and move on. The company won't care. It will care what the largest holders think.

I dont think this is a bad thing so long as market cap rises as a consequence.

Pullback to start of buying zone. Volume none too strong. To be expected.
Interested to see if it can finish > 6.8p.

The buyback has helped.

As of today my set-up gives a trend change to buy on a 2, 5 & 10 year look back basis.

6th May 2018 it was a sell, no buy flagged on 2, 5 or 10 since but on a one year basis it was buy 24th Sept 2019 and since up a penny give or take a fraction.

Sytem has been reliable to date.
It could pull back and currently (it moves) a break below 6.22p would flag a sell state.

Interesting the volume dried up at 6.5p and it hung there suggesting selling was exhausted. Would like to see clear 6.99p and some volume soon to confirm.

If I was one of the interested parties I would have been networking with attendees at last weeks ReThink to get the customer perspective and vibe. I bet they were there

Hony has over $12Bn under management so 5.42% of MMX is not something they will lose sleep over a no matter what. They do tend to help portfolio companies get into China however.

The end here will likely be a sawherele and the value will out well above where it is capitalised now. Hence, can't understand the negativity amongst some here.
It was screaming buy sub 6p.

Relist on another market and consolidate at the same time.
The float sends a bad message on dilution.

They are building a sustainable business.
Sentiment is why it's where it is now.
Sentiment catches up in the end.

It wasnt undervalued then but sentiment driven.

Timing matters.

Management are not dumb and have a plan they have stated even so far as to recognise sentiment was a driver and they want that to change to fundamentals of a stabilised and underpinned business.

You wouldn't buy if you read some of the tainted posters here that perhaps bought on sentiment.

6.96, 7.78, then it runs imho, at it's own pace. The buyback is not a dumb idea too when theres so much value to be had cheap.

Another thing it us unrealistic to expect the share price, with overhang and bad sentiment, to respond to £351K of buys.

Nearly 2/3rds of the firepower is still to be used and likely largest response will be in the final element when low hanging stock already taken off market.

The fact the buyback has been given to a 3rd party eliminates management bias.

Read up on shareholder yield. Done properly the return to shareholders beats dividends. It gets a bad press when;

1) stock is bought back with borrowings that can limit future business options, increasing balances sheet burden - not the case with MMX.

2) Buybacks are performed irrespective of value - not the case with MMX if you believe is is substantially undervalued. The benefit to owners of the company can be substantial to buy back when undervalued.

The more stock they take off the market when undervalued the better.

How much of the buyback pot have they even used yet?
Could left-over be used to propel sp over the 9.4p hurdle for management combined with news?
