Management cant do your job for you. You shouldnt try to do theirs for them.

Might be no justification but there is a reason.

Break 7.2p, then 7.64.p. Good chance of run. Most positive since around Feb 2018 approx. Was flagged sell 6th May 2018, now buy. Might flip back but certainly a positive change ongoing.

If it can break 6.64p on some volume there is chance of a run.
Management weren't too concerned at buying at 6.9p and 7p recently.
Kestrel on the register is interesting too.

"Entry price relative to current market price" and "time held" are the 2 big variables always impacting mood.

Would hope to have an exit by end 2021 at a multiple of 6p else opportunity cost is too high to make this worthwhile. It's not much of a "keeper" due to the risk. A speculation, yes.

If here for a divi alone would prefer the FTSE100 as yielding around 4% with sector diversity. It has to be capital appreciation here over 24-36 months from first purchase or this is pure dead money.

Exposure to China is a bit of a concern, nothing to do with current US spat, but the real chance of legislative change over there having a knock on effect.

There are costs associated with large number of smaller holdings and I've dealt with one company in particular that were concerned when they analysed their register. Each to their own and wanted to 'sanitise'.

I'm becoming convinced there is more to this bakky than just the value.

I guess no one here knows how many people are in this with very small holdings? The massive float doesn't help with a penny share. Hence another reason for a consolidation imho.

Imagine a divi that is small to start. It costs to send out small amounts to many thousands. A ridiculous case might be where the cost of administering some small holders with a small divi is comparable to what the small holder gets paid. Not efficient use of resources.

They are probably watching the order book and share register. Best to take out as many shares & holders as possible.

When it hits a buy zone they will act and support.
Over time the buy zone should move up as low sellers exit and results show through to support price.

Some companies dont wants lots of small holder, many thousands, and they do tend to be those that buy higher and sell lower so it can also help reduce the # of holders. When price settles the small fry sell and the company can mop-up.

Both bakky. They have some support level in mind and may well be holding fire and not too bright to use all resources until really needed. Ideally forming a very solid base. Use all resources at 6.x pence and what happens if some still happy to let stock go at a lower price?

Results will show through anyway and bought back stock will look to have been a decent investment decision.

No rushing this stuff. Buyback authority will be watching the order book, would hope, and possibly share register too.
