Conroy Golds market capital is £2.6m

Demir spent £5m and needed to spent £1m more for a 25% stake in CGNR

Demir left with a NSR (with talk of a possible return by some of their geologists...don't know what that means).

Conroy Gold retains 100% after Demir spending approx amount 2 times CGNRs current market capital.

Barrick Golds recent vice president of exploration opportunities suddenly joins the CGNR board to help put together a new joint venture with a major gold mining company.

DYOR, etc, and I am not advising anyone buy or sell shares, but I am saying if you cannot see what is coming, then you have blinkers on.

If Barrick Gold or another major are announced as the new JV partner and take a chunk of shares too, what do you think will happen the 5p (£2.6m market capital) share price here? Its not rocket science. The clue is in my previous sentence.

Not sure. Perhaps they could still say in talks that may or may not lead to a joint venture. Unless perhaps a takeover is on the cards, lock , stock and barrel ? Who knows. The long period of silence from the company suggests deal being finalized. I’m sure latge investors here are short on patience.

Time the company updated the market on its JV talks. Company could at least let shareholders know if it is in advanced talks. Is due diligence ongoing by interested party? Yes there is the Ex Barrick director , but market needs more than that .

Sounds like they have blue diamonds as well as pink.

Prof says now that land boundary decided they can now sit down with the developers. I wonder who they are.

Its all about the fancy diamonds and showing the approx percentage of pinks and blues to another party by the sound of it. Throw in a major green diamond deposit in Kuhmo and you've got christmas!

Also sounds like they believe they have 2 deposits in Northern Ireland, hence the experts involvement at such an early stage there.

Exactly. The thing about Finland is it’s slow but it’s definite. We knew before yesterday that there is always a 60 day appeal period. So anyone selling on that basis, is not selling because of something unexpected. That was all set in stone, whatever way the judgement had of gone. So you have to let it play out. But play out it will, and with certainty. That is the advantage of Finland, unlike many other countries, you get complete certainty , but you have to allow for the statutory periods to pass. I’m ok with that.

The appeal period is normal and same in all cases. Looks like court sided with KDR on all, even awarding them costs. Court likely requires land survey to review and comment on 3 points from appellant . That can be done in writing I’m sure. In light of costs awarded to KDR, it would be pointless and a lot more costly to appeal further, and extremely unlikely the Supreme Court would even grant leave to appeal in first place. In a nutshell, this is a good result for KDR and the appeal period has always been known as this is the law in Finland. Compensation issues doesn’t hold company back, it was the boundary issue, and that is now sorted. I would expect land survey to comment back to the court within days and mining permit to issue after appeal period lapses. All as expected.

Perhaps we will see a late rally before 4.30 today, who knows.

No rush for shares because nobody is watching. The market has no clue of the potential value here. That what will make this all the sweeter. My money is on September / October to be the transformational time for this company. However with Mondays ruling, next week may see a little interest here.

Great timing Biffo. KDR a little different to CGNR as bills need paid, be it Larry, compensations, Terri, kuhmo work program, Fermanagh program. CGNR are I just sorting deal so no extra expenses there as probably no work on ground until deal finalized

Moroney was Barrick's vice president, new exploration opportunities and was responsible for pipeline growth for many years up until February 2023. After this she becomes a director on Conroy Gold board. She brings 30yrs of top level experience in Gold and Copper. At the same time the prof says that they have interest from the majors and have now 100% control, since weirdly favourable exit deal they managed to do with Demir. At the same time just a few miles up the road, KDR look to have stumbled on something serious (copper/Nickel/PGM) in Fermanagh (Dr Larry Hulbert now involved there, Robert Friedlands name possibly in the mix too). Barrick are after copper opportunities along with gold, so good possibility their first stop in Europe will be in Ireland (possibly followed by Finland). One RNS with Barrick in it and all changes immediately. Maybe I am wrong, but good chance I am not.

Why would you do a placing if you are about to announce a deal with a super-major. Tick-Tock.

The share price is a shambles. However a transformational period approaches for KDR. The company should have the mining permit by the end of the month, then I expect news of a jv/deal + the delivery of a mobile bulk sampling plant to Lahtojoki. The bigger news may come from Kuhmo and Northern Ireland. I suspect news flow on a number of fronts to start in the weeks following 12 August. Perhaps the links between CGNR and KDR will strengthen.

I note Mining company analysts also believe that a large rerate will come when CGNR announces a new deal. They also believe, as do I, that CGNRs newly appointed director- ex Barrick Gold vice president of new exploration opportunities, signals the next likely big announcement from CGNR. Watch this space!

It will be interesting to see when the starting pistol fires for KDR's share price, given the 12 August is only 4 weeks away. IMO and DYOR, but to steal Dr Larry's words "what wasn't obvious before, is now very obvious". Good look to all smart enough to have taken a position in this stock.

4 weeks to court decision on Lahtojoki compensation/boundary appeal. After that I expect Land Survey to confirm legal force and then Tukes to issue the Mining Permit. This has all been delayed by 4 years and will mark the starting pistol in my view. Whilst the Mining Permit is significant, the Kuhmo green diamond source will dwarf this. I expect a JV partner very quickly after the Lahtojoki Permit. Will it be just for Lahtojoki or an all encompassing JV to include Kuhmo. Possible Colebrooke project may get same JV partner thats on the cards for CGNR.

A deal with BG or Newmont or both will turn heads and transform the company should it happen. Day to day share price is irrelevant unless you are a forced seller. That said, the current share price reflects very poorly on the company. It can double or half in a day whilst traders play around with it.

Barrick don’t mess about either.
