Marian is a recognised and accomplished leader in the exploration and mining industry with over 30 years’ experience in exploration, mining, strategic planning, governance, identifying new business opportunities, joint venture management and oversight, and mergers and acquisitions.

Marian spent over 20 years with Barrick Gold Corporation in senior roles and was named as one of Barrick’s inaugural partners in 2015, followed by her being voted as one of 100 Global Inspirational Women in mining in 2016. Her time with Barrick included 5 years as Vice President – New Exploration Opportunities where she had specific responsibility for identifying, reviewing and securing new operating districts for Barrick through multiple and innovative earn-in agreements.

The company told market they are in talks with majors. Then one of Barrick Golds top people is installed to the CGNR board. Is there really shareholders who cant see whats ahead. Don't get sucked in or fooled by the negativity here. Just ask yourself why would Marian Moroney join the board......seriously.

I presume expected deal is with Barrick Gold, given the appointment of Marian Moroney. That tends to be the way Barrick operate. Im not sure how long until something announced but I suspect there will not be a discounted placing for CGNR. If Barrick announced then CGNR will have to be taken very seriously and a rerate will be immediate. Barrick is too big a name for it not to be. Could be tomorrow, could be August. I have no idea how long these things take.

Also, I can’t see any serious existing shareholders in their right mind selling at this level, especially with KDR approaching the transformational phase ( in my opinion). I can only see the share price northwards from here.

It’s depressing, but InfinityX is 100% right. I won’t be selling at 5p in the same way I won’t sell at 1.5p….. I didn’t buy this share to day trade. Unless you are a forced seller and have no choice(and we have all been there) then you don’t need to worry. It’s about this company getting over the line for me, and in a terrible market for raising money it’s no huge surprise. Gutted to see the discount, but means to an end I suspect. Unfortunately I don’t have the funds to take advantage of the share price. I suspect things will change after August 12.

It’s crazy to see where the share price is in 2024. We all know this should be way way higher. Now with the addition of Fermanagh and Larrys report this should be moving up significantly. The potential here is enormous for anyone who has bought in. But what is holding the share price back? This could easily be sitting at 50p in the near future. Success in Kuhmo or NI well multiply the share price well into tripple figures . Today’s KDR sells are just switches into CGNR and nothing more . Some might disagree with me on the KDR share price, but I am just calling it how I see it.

Im just not convinced that the crucial next phase of A5 drilling has started yet.

Yes updated presentation for 2024 is a vast improvement from before. It says ongoing drilling at A5. What happens here when next drilling phase encounters the source. They think the source is large, so we may realise a world class discovery like lomonasov very quickly. The share price will go bananas when this is confirmed.

There will be some moves made on the back of Larry's report. This is top level stuff so expect top level people to be involved already. I am intrigued to see what news drops next. Based on Larrys report, deep pockets will be looking to be a part of this, thats a given. I was only ever in this for Finland, what a massive unexpected bonus the Nickel/copper looks to be.

With the independent report from Dr Hulbert, we now have to take the Fermanagh potential seriously. Dr Hulbert is clearly now providing technical advisory services to the Company for guiding exploration. It now suggests drilling in Fermanagh is coming soon and perhaps another party advised KDR to get, or insisted on KDR getting the report done first. KDR are have clearly stumbled on something exciting and are not messing about. Whilst the market may not notice this, those in the industry or in this space, will have. This kind of credibility will be attracting interest. Excited to see what comes next. And all this in addition to the diamond interests. Amazing what could be on the cards here.

So Dr. Larry Hulbert looks to be a technical advisor to the Company. Dr. Hulbert, B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc., University of Regina (1976-78); D.Sc. University of Pretoria, South Africa (1983); and NSERC Post-Doctoral Fellowship, University of Saskatchewan (1983-84), is a renowned specialist in magmatic nickel, copper, and platinum-group-element (“PGE”) deposits.

Dr. Hulbert is a Registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan, and with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the Barlow Medal from Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (1993), the Geological Association and Mineralogical Association of Canada Robinson Distinguished Lecturer (for 2001-2002), and the Earth Sciences Sector Merit Award by Natural Resources Canada (2003) in recognition of his exemplary effort in the sustainable development of Canada’s northern mineral wealth.

Dr. Hulbert’s extensive career as a geoscientist includes work in both the private and public sectors, in addition to the academic community. His work on many major magmatic nickel-copper-PGE complexes in the world is recognized throughout the international geological community. He began his career in the Lynn Lake nickel camp in northern Manitoba, followed by his extensive platinum-group-element work in South Africa’s Bushveld Complex. From 1984 to 2007, Larry worked as a Research Scientist in the Mineral Deposit Research Division of the Geological Survey of Canada where he had the opportunity to analyze most of the significant nickel-copper-PGE deposits in Canada, including those at the Falcon Nickel Project. Since 2007, Dr. Hulbert has consulted for companies exploring for nickel-copper-PGE deposits internationally.

Check out the link for Rio Tinto Finland Exploration Oy. No mention of diamonds whatsoever. Don't you think that is odd for a board made up of Directors from diamond backgrounds. Maybe they don't have to mention the diamonds as KDR has that quietly covered. Think about it.

Ken is the Rio Tinto Exploration Director responsible for multi-commodity exploration in Africa and Eurasia, based in London.

Ken graduated with a degree in Geology from the University of Natal in South Africa in 1987 and a PhD from the University of Cambridge in 1992. He then joined De Beers/Anglo American as a geochemical researcher, developing analytical and interpretive techniques to support diamond exploration, and supporting their application in active projects through consulting and training. Ken coordinated a review of De Beers’ exploration targeting in 1999 that substantially changed their exploration portfolio. From 2001 to 2003, he was seconded to Brazil as technical advisor to the regional exploration programme, before returning to South Africa as Technical Services Manager for De Beers Exploration.

Ken joined Rio Tinto as Global Laboratory Manager in 2007, with responsibility for aligning operating practice across Rio Tinto Exploration laboratories and optimising service delivery to exploration and operations. In April 2009 he transferred to the Project Generation Group as Principal Advisor – Diamonds and Laboratories. Whilst continuing to hold this role, he held the role of Exploration Executive in the London office between January 2010 and September 2011. Ken assumed the role of Exploration Director for the Eurasia Region, encompassing Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia, in October 2011. In July 2014, this geographic remit was expanded to include Africa and Europe.

Its gets better! The last of the 4 directors is Kenneth Melbourne Tainton, former Technical Services Manager of De Beers for 15 years - 1992 - 2007. Currently with Rio Tinto for last 13 years and Exploration Director for Rio Tinto since 2011.

I think its worth highlighting this over a few posts.

Look a the 4 directors of Rio Tinto Exploration Finland Oy. I would suggest that it is very obvious that they are in Finland for Diamonds and Copper/Gold. Take a closer look at Karelian Diamonds and Conroy Golds Finnish interests. Both companies are run by same people. KDR had 10yr agreement to receive all Rio Tinto's confidential Finland exploration information. Agreement lapsed mid 2020 and Rio Tinto exploration Finland Oy was created a month be for the agreement lapsed. The agreement was not renewed, which makes no sense on Rio's part, unless they have other plans for KDR of course. Remember all the confidential information shared with KDR by Rio was for all minerals in Finland, not just diamonds. Given the commonality between KDR and CGNR, whatever KDR has seen CGNR has seen too! I would suggest CGNR know exactly what they have in Finland. The smart thing would be for CGNR to sit on Copper/ Gold discovery for 10 yrs. whilst KDR prepare Finland for Rio's arrival after the closure of Argyle mine in Australia. The world is minus 90% of its pink diamonds now. I would suggest that its odds on now that KDRs Finnish assets will be meeting the shortfall in pink fancies (and green and yellow fancies) in the not-so-distant future.
