MM/THG has plenty of options, and sooner or later will make a move, and the re rate of will be explosive. It is just far far too cheap. Will the THG’s interims see something announced, who knows MM has been very quiet.

The BoD are yet to comment on their intentions, but will have to do so in September interim update. They either need to embrace the new LSE category or present and alternative plan, I don’t see any credible alternatives.

No news is good news in my opinion, and if someone is looking at a take private it would be in their interests to get in before the index funds start buying

PP1 your FUD is so lame. If you bothered listening to the audio you would hear the head of insto sales, discussing the research with the heads of tech and retail research who collaborated on it. Not interns/juniors. Just rubbish smearing.

The peel hunt report is a thorough analysis and aligns with why many PI’s are invested here. That is the opportunity for PI’s to grab if they have the conviction to see through all the noise of the doomsters on here. Whether it be embracing the new category for being on fund/index buying, a take private (what I expect), or a spin off, something is going to change the game here soon and bring new institutional money in. Bring on the interims, a sneaky EBITDA beat would be a nice start, alongside a statement around the LSE or alternatives. Good luck LTH’s, our time is coming

Which is why THG have focused on margin improvement and cash generation and put in place a new Chair/CEO for Ingenuity, looking to address THG’s two major weaknesses.

@magnum for 18 years MM did very well for his shareholders. Less so the last 2 years. Does the current share price reflect the value of the assets in the Group? I think not. IMO MM has earned the right as founder to try to execute a plan to recover the share price. I believe he will. If not successful over a reasonable time line, I believe the NED Board and 65% will do their job and remove him. No sign of that though is there? I’m happy to run with the Board and 65% who have much better intel and insight than the keyboard warriors on here, shouting doom and calling for heads.

As per Craftys note, I have a friend that was relatively senior in THG for a number of years who gets a call every 6 months from the press looking for dirt on THG. So I can well believe the 2 year “war room” story..

Don’t agree. BoD are acting to maximise shareholder value over the long term IMO. Those who whine on here about MM not acting in the all shareholders interests are usually PI’s who want a quick return, or those who got in post IPO and baldy down. I have sympathy for the later, but those are the risks.

Simple. I’ve said it before, but why would you sell the Crown Jewels (or a stake) during an inflationary surge that has compressed historic margins. Answer: only if distressed, or you got an offer you couldn’t refuse (the latter unlikely in poor macro). MM will strike a deal to optimise returns for his long term backers, so timing is everything and the macro is improving….

🥱 APH. As we have discussed many times on here, SoftBank was a distressed seller during a fund liquidation. Grenada was 40x Ebitda multiple, and 4x revenue, so put £100m on nutrition is laughable.
