Normally when a placing is due every attempt is made to drive the SP up in order to minimise dilution, they would not be driving the SP down for this reason.

There aren’t any new shares coming in to the market except for warrant conversions and we haven’t had any in a while. IMO, the pressure on the SP has been 100% down to PIs selling after getting disappointed for lag of results - no gold showing.

TullyCrow, I am surprised as to why Mr. Austin with all of his experience did not find any gold to show.

The problem with the SP drop, IMO is due to no showing of gold. We should have had some showing of gold from last year. That is why the SP was a under prolonged pressure. In general, PIs (maybe not all of those here) were expecting to see gold and started giving up selling when no gold appeared culminating to the last drop breaking 0.30p support after that RNS.

I hope now GF gets the message and concentrates on showing some gold to recover the SP.

I am still very annoyed though with the state of the SP.

How would GF look after the SP? Is simple, simply pay attention to sentiment and boost it where it needs boosting (a tweet would do). Cut back on management of expectations and let the market decide of what to expect.

When it comes to Clogau, he should have shown some gold. Is inexcusable, after a year of drilling and sampling in a Gold Mine not to have any gold to show - this is what knocked the SP off.

In 2013, Stellar resources did grab sampling and came up with some fantastic results. GF could have done something similar.

The AIM market is not only looking for the destination, is also looking to be taken along the journey ... we should have had several gold showings by now. Take a look at some of the other successful (as in SP appreciation) mining companies.

GF should have build these gold showings in to his strategy and show gold every time he stumbled over it. A year in the mine and nothing to show?

Ocelot, I agree in that it is a short term buy ... unless GF changes his approach and starts to look after the SP.

I would not put it as a long term buy though, unless you have lots of time ahead of you and substantial funds to keep buying and adding in to the future (or GF starts to look after the SP)

Either way, personally I had enough and next spike I’ll be out.

IMO, the problem with GF is over the top expectations management ... he should let the market decide on what to expect and get on with promoting the company. Most of all, pay attention to market sentiment. Look after the SP - the heart of the company - after all, all of Alba income currently comes out of the SP!

The press coverage generated. Superb sentiment, healthy and bullish ... and GF killed it by not showing any gold so far in the exploration project. He needs to change his approach or make a move for somebody else to take charge if the Alba SP ever going to appreciate.

... and by the way, about 3 or 4 years ago when Alba bought the mine, if I remember correctly, the payment paid in shares was valued at 0.42p .... the bid is now sitting at 0.26p ... quite an achievement by GF.

Agree in that the Alba Management is not doing what management should do ... look after the SP.

As you said, 3 years now and apparently nothing to show at Clogau. Looking for veins is good but they should shave put more effort in taking the market along on the journey ... and show gold every now and then. This is what other companies would have done and had Alba done that the SP would have been up multiples from here.

Stellar Resources did do some grab samples back in 2013 and came up with fantastic grades in them samples - Alba has actually been inside the mine for around a year now ... drilling and collecting samples ... where is the gold?

Not showing any gold is what’s damaged the SP. Very disappointing.

Fantastic assets but failing to bring shareholder value ... SP appreciation.

Management. The SP is now below a previous placing, not the last one at 0.375p but the one before that at 0.275p - disgraceful.

But, IMO there is no point in selling down here as the 0.25p level should provide support and hopefully it will not break it until we get a Greenland mobilisation RNS.

Multi-bagger here. Tiny float tightly held ... a major miner involved and fantastic assets. Not many caught up with this.

If I keep posting this every day ... one day ... just one day ... I might ... just might be right!

It will be interesting to find how there got them. Could be on the open market though buying the HSBC shares. Either way, not good news for us.

The 2021 drilling campaign already started and Cyprus is loaded with VMS deposits, I am confident they will strike good. When they stopped mining it wasn’t because the mines went dry, it was because of the Turkish invasion in 1974.

The re-rate has taken off now and I expect we will see new highs on this run. You don’t get a Mining Major involved for no reason.

A reddit group can do a better job than GF at lifting the SP up lol

Spread betting companies buying shares and using them for hedging is SP manipulation and should be illegal.

I don’t understand why is allowed to happen, not only it causes PIs to loose hard earned it also damages the companies which are trying to evolve.

Definite market manipulation to benefit those with a big muscle. Disgraceful.

IMO, Spreadex involvement can only be negative - they hedge their beds by blocking the SP advance.

Happened in Alba and NFX that I know of and today Blencow. Excellent Blencow RNS this morning and the SP dropped - I believe this is down to Spreadex.

Now, they have just over 4% in Angus, about 39 million shares.
