RE: Why investors emphasis on bulk samples12 Apr 2021 10:25
Elir, it certainly does not say that and there is an obvious change from what we were originally told.
Is also shocking that the Pilot Plant which is capable of crunching 3 tonnes per hour is still being tuned up after almost 3 months in operation ... was only a 36 tonne sample!
Very disappointed with the handling of Clogau - how did Stellar resources managed to come up with stellar results from grab samples? —- and GF cannot even grab a gramme of gold to show us?
It doesn’t matter what you, or I, or anybody else on this board thinks about the RNS - good or bad?
What matters is what the market thinks! If the RNS is good the market will drive the SP up, if not ...
So far, the market is indifferent leaning to disappointed. The market is saying ... this RNS is _____ (fill it with word of choice)
Personally, I am disappointed in that as of yet GF has not managed to generate real interest - sad. Over a years work in the mine and no showing of gold yet! Pilot Plant ... another disappointment. Can he organise a p*ssup in a brewery?
That is why I de-risked (after 5 years). For you, 6 million, if the assay results are good (presented as such) should bring in a nice return. I am still holding 15 million but de-risked. I will keep them and add if the SP reacts positively to the assay results, but will cash out if the SP drops. Not willing to ride this down anymore ... I have a purchase at 0.75p, is time to see a proper return.
Fingers crossed good assay results and a change in PR ... ALBA assets are some of the very best.
You are not the only one that sold a major part of their holding, I too sold about half of my holding (never sold any in the last 5 years except this year, January, after that awful RNS) and I blame GF for this. I reduced from 30 million to 15 and depending on what comes out next for Clogau, I will cash it all out if the SP drops.
Personally, I am not at all happy with the way Clogau has been handled, others may feel different, but I have to go with the way I feel.
Alba has fantastic assets, but these assets need to be marketed properly if the SP is going to appreciate. I do feel that GF goes over the top on expectation management instead of letting the market decide what to expect. Also, does not help the struggling SP when he can do this because he does not pay attention to sentiment. After 5 years been invested in Alba and seeing the SP go up and then down (last time down to 0.04p) in cycles, I am not willing to ride the SP down and then up again.
If the SP reacts negatively to the Clogau assay results then it will be goodby from me. I hope it doesn’t happen. GLTA.
Craig, nobody can tell you what to do (sell or hold), you need to decide that yourself.
Personally, I would not sell at this level. This level is the bottom of a 5-month range which seems to be holding quite well, so far. This level is a strong support, to me a place to buy/add.
However, nothing is guaranteed. The assay results are imminent and are expected to be good, but it will all depend on how GF presents them. The decision is yours.
My experience with Spreadex taking positions is not normally good news.
Now, we are expecting the funding announcement to drive the SP up. If Spreadex has too many long positions, is not to their interest for the SP to go up, so they might use these shares to stop and reverse the advance.
A few years ago, leading up to Horsehill approvals, Spreadex got Alba shares in a placing. When the announcement was made, the Ukog SP run up but Alba SP went to run up and was immediately arrested with sales which carried on well below placing SP. Spreadex sold those shares at a loss. Obviously a gain though by not having to honour long positions which eventually had to close at a loss - a bigger gain for Spreadex. That is how we saw it at the time.
TullyCrow, good idea ... the more people contact them the more of a chance of an update.
The market today though seems to be expecting something ... effectively all large trades today are sells hitting the bid and surprisingly is holding ... RNS next week?
Good idea to email Alba though just to try and make sure that they do issue an update ... even saying that they sent the bulk samples to the lab will help.
