I presume people here do hold more than one stock, its not like you are "betraying" anyone, its just a piece of paper. Still, whatever.

I get it, its not AVCt but its already gone up 7% since I suggested people look at it.

(A lot of BB's here will suggest other stocks, i'm not sure you have to be quite so possessive over this type of thing if done in moderation. And its like all posts, if no one reacts to it, it does not take up really and space or time.)

There is nothing delusional in trying to figure out at what is the right entry price.

While I agree picking the absolute bottom is more luck than judgement, nevertheless, using TA as a methodology to determine where a low is likely to have formed is a system that many advocate. Just because you don't use it, or understand it, or have any faith in it, is a reflection of your own experience/bias rather than objectively understanding that it may have arole to play to support your FA approach.

As the whole point is to maximise gains, timing is crucial and given its importance I would have thought it behoves "investors" to explore fully any system that might help in that regard.

Not if the data isn't compelling. Clearly BG (with a specialised fund) saw the data as disappointing, and sold. (I understand that you know better though due to AI supporting your view).

How do you know that has not already happened? How long does "sentiment" have to stop being sentiment and become a proper valuation?

I highlight these latest 2 assertions as proof of your assumptions to simply re-enforce your opinion. These are not facts as your posts suggests.

Its these assumptions that completely undermine your AI "analysis".

The actual facts are that there are far too many details that shareholders are unaware of to be able to make an accurate judgement on as to whether this will be a profitable investment or not. It's a binary outcome.

To date we have RNS's on the data that suggest this could work along side completely contrary signals from a long term fund holder selling to a 3-4 year SP downturn (as well as a short that to date has refused to close and has proved to be accurate in the timing ) as more and more data from the trial is released.

The two views are incompatible. One will prove to be correct. Anyone still want to express the fact they believe they are investors and not gamblers?

Its just the 3 days notice thing.. is it significant? we will see.

If its new info and maybe there have already been good results from the first levels of dosing on P1b then the webinar will have to be preceded by an RNS.

If no RNS, presumably its just regurgitated news.

Reading the RNS it looks to be a rehash of previous updates. "..and will focus on the Company's recent data presentations"

So maybe its to do with the Q&A bit? That would allow them to pick the questions to flesh out the near future, but again they could just release a press release or another RNS if necessary.

Difficult to get excited about this one but the short notice does add a degree of puzzlement.

Plus this is coming before the results so I don't think the short notice is accidental. I think something else is afoot.

Best guess and thats all it is , is that there will be a financial RNS at 7:00am and the webinar will be re-iterating the science to back up the money request.

Chart is interesting. the SP is holding up at 33p (who would have believed that statement a year or so ago....) where with a repayment going on should have forced it down further? Could heights have sold to someone on the dark web so the volume isn't seen and they are picking up a block at low levels? (its around 2% of the company so not nothing....)

My dilema is, if the above guess is right, will it be good for the SP or bad? If it's another domestic RI to buy time then no, I don't think so. On the other hand if it is a ND listing and it can seen to be the last raise necessary, then maybe yes, it could be sufficient to propel AVCT to the end game and with the re-iteration of the trial results and maybe a throw away line about the first dosing on p1b then there could be a strong positive reaction.

I shall try and weigh it up during the day.. (Trouble is I am aware that I am biased towards the "best" outcome.) It really is a crap shoot! :0))

What are you talking about? I never said they had not started dosing. I said I was not aware that they had finished enrolling patients for the trial.

So perhaps read my posts before you fire off an dismissive inaccurate response.

And my "drivel" to date has been pretty accurate. But I guess we just have to ignore that for the sake of your prejudice?

but they did not start dosing until march. As far as I know they still have not recruited all the patients for the trial even though phase 1a finished almost a year ago.

It just seems to me, very slow progress for all the data that you all think is exceeding all expectations that has been shown over the last 3-4 years.

If this was the breakthrough in cancer care don't you think, really, that it would be going a bit faster paced than them hanging on as long as they can before going back to the market every 15 months or so to get money to fund every part of the trial.

It might all work out, but for me it does not make sense.

Oh Chris....if AVCt say late 2025 at best it will be late December but they have never met a forecast yet so I expect Q1 2026.

And as for £10m RI to get id of height? are you mad? AVCT have free money! What in the history of AVCT have you seen any regard for the shareholder?

This company simply borrows when it absolutely has to to fund further research. All shareholders know this. If you expected any different you should have picked a different stock and sector. The trick is to buy after the last raise. But with AVCT its been tricky as they have greased the goalposts and seem to have a bloody big pitch in which to keep moving them with little or no notice.

I do indeed Nigb, however my experience is that almost all people are actually decent human beings, sure we all have our folibles that may irritate from time to time or characteristics that would not make you want to be firm friends, but as I say, intrinsically , decent people..

So i try to remind some here of that. Just because we have the opportunity to be rude and hurtful doesn't mean we should do it. I "real" life we don't normally as adults, enjoy bulling and hurting others.

Thats why I find social media a very strange and on balance terrible progression for civilised society as it seems to bring out the very worst in people.

These BB''s are a good example. They are generally useless with the odd helpful post here and there but in terms of "research" not so much, but in the main its just another outlet for allowing the rotten side of humans to flourish.

What I find insidious is that it is actively encouraged by all platform providers.

Small loss making companies are not in that much control of their own destiny as some here imagine.

(One prevailing train of thought is that if one bid emerged several would follow. Maybe but maybe not. What are they all waiting for? Where are all these companies just itching to bid but waiting for someone to go first and why wait? The more the better data, the more they will pay, so why not now, unless the data is not there?)

As CC was quoted, BP will want to see phase 2 results on a bigger trial. How far is that away ? £50m? £75m? More?

How does AVCT stay in business?

There are so many scenarios that might unfold it is impossible to say. All the PI can do is not to get carried away and make sure they are not over committed.

Presumably there are a few here that have got pensions wrapped up in this as well as lots of averaging down. Hugely, hugely risky so I hope for all concerned there is a positive outcome but I think Thorn was absolutely right to highlight here, never mind the company, how the mood has moved away from 6k to the "new" trial next year being where the "real" value apparently now is, and asking then, what was 6k all about from the same posters who said this was the the be all and end all.?

I was listening to the radio around lunchtime and there was a discussion about "why do we hate who we disagree with, rather then just accept different views". Apparently its new phenomenon and is a social media thing and many can't accept that they might be wrong from an initial position so dig in, or won't admit to "not knowing" all the facts and therefore just shout and insult a different view point.

Apparently they don't have it in them to admit that they can ever be wrong.

The author of the book suggested people should take a breath before hurling insults via the keyboard (He suggested the "breath" might be up to 15 minutes long! That made me laugh....)

It was only "18 months" 4 years ago..... (mind you the SP was a lot more then.....)
