Looked to me there were enough "exceeded forecasts" in their to suggest this year coming will be very good. I think the Trump effect is the only thing holding this back and I have a feeling if current events continue to unravel that it won't affect WOSG much if at all.

ID, that is no doubt true, but I think it unlikely it would be a crappy HP maker that uses cutting edge technology to improve their crappy product?

I Have just returned home (back to my basement) from my triathlon of a1 mile swim, 5k jog and 2 mile walk while towing along my sunbed so I get enough sunlight. I will enjoy a nice scotch/bottle of Red, while sitting in my garden, reading a book, painting a picture, playing a song, booking my next holiday, but all the time keeping my nose to the grindstone as I carry on with my 15 hour a day, day-job at the ripe old age of 98.

I think all of this does somewhat bear out that none of us should judge others by our standards.

The tones always boils down to a "I know best" . Surely, it's just each to his/her own. There is no right and wrong... (about anything).

Lets just hope for once, that AVCT release an update or whatever, and it actually makes the SP rise. That would be a start.

If not then I wonder why it was done at short notice? maybe no time for the likes of us to over-hype it? or they just forgot they were meant to do this follow up, which given their lack of attention to their own website is not beyond the bounds.....

LDA, its not in their gift. Its as simple as that. You cannot force anyone to buy into the company.

As you know this is one of my "red flags". If the science is so compelling, then why isn't there a meaningful stake?

So that could be a reason, or the financials of the company are not clear yet, so why would you buy a 3% stake at 50p say, (the last raise) when you would be sitting on a 30% loss now with the likely hood of more dilution and further capital depreciation coming up (or at least a chance of it.

As a result it is unlikely anyone will buy into this company until it is clear (phase 2 results apparently), that it is commercially viable, and there are sufficient funds to that commercial viability.

There is on the face of it still a long time to go with a high degree of uncertainty. We chunter away here without the first idea what is actually going on, some expecting a buyout any day! Well the P1a proved safety 18 months ago. You tell me why it carried on for so long past that date, you tell me why the pipeline is now the focus? This ain't done yet, not by along chalk.

I am a big fan of the RSI and it has unwound to allow new highs to be reached. 817p (2.0%) is the magic number. (it needs to break the previous high buy at least a few p to reassure the market it is unlikely to be a "false breakout)

So a 2% gain from here is obviously very doable. however it still might be a bit of 2 steps forward one step back to have a go at it. (imo dyor etc etc)

I always find this very strange that posters will commit to big purchases (£50k, £20k) when the SP is going up as soon as it "dips".

Given on a stock like this you could be looking at huge capital appreciation of 1000%, why are they so concerned over a potential 5% premium at the current price? It may not dip. Based on the news released why would it? Sure it might and maybe it will, but I always wonder why there is a need to post about buying a stock when you know that currently the price does not "allow" you to.

And if it doesn't, fall back/dip that £50k could have turned into £500k all for the sake of a relatively few shares. Weird....

I am glad you never feel sad. (or are you just talking about stocks and shares? I don't feel sad or negative about any of them. I like it if I get it right, but I also realise luck plays a big part in it)

I always get a bit confused when people start overlaying their emotional feelings on strangers, as though what they they feel is remotely relevant to someone else.

I think its likely to be less, as the market will have priced some/maybe a lot, of this in already.

A stock does not rise 7 fold on just sorting itself out. Once the danger has passed then the market looks forward at the opportunities.

And why did you but AVCT stock as opposed to just send them the money in the post so they could use it directly on their research?

How would I know? I'm not remotely qualified and don't see all the info.

I just read and listen to what AVCT say and then what they do. The 2 rarely match.

I think a professional outfit like BG have a bit more insight than me and the fact that they came to the same conclusion is just coincidental

And of course I don't care. I just want to see if I can sell at a higher price than I bought at. I know it sounds a bit callous but I'm funny that way with stocks and shares.
