So Surfie, I said in my post it had to go above 1.3p to have " broken out" it hasn't therefore its still in the trading range and no decision is needed whether to buy or sell.
Regarding its all pants, I would offer 2 thoughts as to why it might not be. For it to be rubbish then you have to also believe that people are not predictable. If you think people are not predictable then Psychology is also worthless. There is no point talking to a psychologist if all actions to events in ones life are random.
And also, every trading house in the world watch charts on their screens. Why would they do that if it was of no use? (Even if it was useless but they all believe in it and react to the charts and it becomes self fulfilling, then ok, but it would still be a way of trying to get an edge.)

well DG, my take is that a new CEO will quite understandably want to make her mark. her comments on the last update might have had a bit of the "under promise over deliver" about them. I an hoping that the "good" May was in fact a bit better than that in real numbers and it maintained or increased in June. The background of her recent comments is that the company needed someone to get a grip on it and her expertise in Marketing was just what they needed as that is where the problems seem to have been.
My reservations expressed in previous posts are still, to me, valid. This company is clearly not out of the woods yet. Its still in the forest, but I am hoping she has the map that gets them out. (Not for any love of EVE but if she does, the SP will go up and I will make some money, which is the only reason any of us bought the stock). And ultimately I think the stock then has a fairly immediate value (6 months) of 5-8p. So worth a punt. So on my personal analysis its got a risk reward of at least 4-1 and that will do for me. But anyway, it wither will go up or down, all, all of us havedone is buy a bit of paper, a betting slip if you will. Lets hope we can all cash in.

And you are quite right they did not break even in Q4. My memory let me down. (I remembered the headline) Quite why you can declare breakeven when in fact you have lost money is the wonderful world of financial spin I guess.

Anyway, I still think there could be enough good news for the market to bump the shares, but its only a guess. What do I know.

See, this is what I mean HH, the last update that included May so only I month old and you accept then that the RNS was uncertain about H2. But for some reason you expect now, H2 to be bullish and a plan to be announced to maintain a momentum that was patchy previously. I just don't get the reasoning behind some posters assumptions.
For my part, its simply a hunch that a profit of some sort in one or maybe two months will be announced and she the CEO will be more positive. ( hopefully the inches have turned into a whole yard!)

(I presume you means sales when you say "sell")
1) hasn't this always been the case?
2)If you are referring to the loss making companies exiting the market place, I understand the logic but it does not follow that those sales that would have gone to them, will automatically go to EVE. There are other players in the market.
3)I accept cash burn is small but we have gone from break even in Q4 to small losses now, its not a huge worry (to me) but its not in the right direction either. The last financial year the company lost 12m. If losses went up to £500k per month, that would be a good improvement on the previous year but it would only be 6 months before the money ran out. (I don't think that will be the case but I am just showing how tight the margins are in this.)
4) |It's a little irrelevant what the directors paid because all it shows is that they lost a ton of money, so their judgement was not very good and they had the inside track! And also the last director deal was at 2.2p and was about £10k, hardly a huge investment in a turnaround co.
The sales figures are also largely irrelevant, its the profit that is the absolute key now. But below is the track record

1) Has it? initial disruption followed by recovery followed by Good month in May. Not sure that it has been significant
2) Correct, because they are not making any money, (just like EVE). Not sure what we can infer from that.
3)Cash in bank buys time, but not that much I fear, possibly 12-18 months tops and is only supporting the current SP
4)Agree, so they have some skin in the game.

Turnaround is POTENTIALLY close
Update of sales in June and July will POTENTIALLY be good. (remember the CEO said she expected greater competition after lockdown both in potential fall in demand and the re-introduction of high street stores)

sorry I stand corrected, 20m loss in 2018 on 35m turnover, 12.4m loss on 24m turnover.

Bouncer, the shares were 125p 3 years ago, they are now after losing around £50m and Ri's they are 1.4p
The fact that that had a good month in May does not mean they have cracked it! look at the facts without the rose coloured glasses on. (And please don't tell me you really believe what the directors tell you? Of course they are "Confident" what else are they going to say!)
I am not here to applaud or decry the company. My purchase was from a broker, my money bought me a piece of paper, EVE doesn't get any of it, whether I win or lose.
I just see an awful lot of assumptions here which I hope does not influence anybody to buy the shares based on those assumptions. That's all

Simms, last year (2019) EVE lost £20m so I think its safe to say the EBITDA has significantly improved....
The 25m turnover is irrelevant when its losing money. (You know the counter argument is if it can't make money turning over £25m then what chance does it have?) Its impossible to say if going through Bricks and Mortar stores is "very smart" given that EVE was online only originally as that was the perceived way of the future to sell....
Forget the overhang of share sells, when the offload came there were no buyers.... hence the drop in the SP. I accept it can depress the SP but it reflected the lack of demand and confidence in EVE at the time.
I just think there seems to be so many positive assumptions that are not only baseless, but counter to the facts and reality that currently exist.
Its a recovery play on the hope that it recovers. Normally a recovery play would be the label on a company that has actually turned around. (If somebody knows something official that the market does not, then its insider trading.)

They are not locked out. you can trade anywhere in the world on a market that's open. So from 8:00am GMT they can trade AVCT.....

The SP is going nowhere until a positive RNS is released.
Every morning there is none the SP falls, then as the day goes on, buyers come in to be in the stock in case a RSN is loaded at 7:00am the next day.

Hold om Simms, lets not get carried away. We can't actually "expect a good move forward" based on what was already released a month ago. when that news was released the SP fell. So if it is more of the same in fact, the SP should fall again.
Everything revolves around the company making money. its not enough to stop losing it. Remember EVE have only ever lost money which is why the SP is where it is. Period.
The revaluation stems only from the transformation from loss making to profit making. The recent rise which although large as a one off yesterday, is still some ways off the high prior to the last, what turned out to be, slightly flat, update.
The money going in is speculative imo as the results are still over a month way and not perhaps as imminent as was expected by recent posts. By all means we can take a punt on this one but I would caution against anybody either "expecting" or assuming that there will be an improvement. This stock is only undervalued if it has turned the corner into profitability, otherwise is more likely to be regarded as overvalued if still lossmaking.

You'd think this would underpin the SP rather than be a negative?

so presently just looking at the chart on this page, 1.30p is acting as a resistance point. it has stalled at this level a few times showing investors presently reluctant to pay an increase above where it is now. If 1.3p is broken (for whatever reason, could be rumour, could be actual news, or just an influx of buyers getting in on the hope on future gains), then the chart would say that it will move to challenge 1.45-1.50p and then the 1.3p current resistance level will become a floor to support the SP.

So right now its on the brink of a breakout, but until it does, chartists would be just sitting on their hands waiting for direction before either buying or selling.
