Happy New Year to all fellow Condorians. Let's hope '21 is our year ... at last! wg
good news, looks like all those who were selling are now fully out. that should help at the start of the new year. GLA
trader - great find, thanks for sharing. I note from the 1st link:
Estimated Study Start Date : December 29, 2020
Good way to end the year.
I think CF will be able to do both. With more than 2 HC centres working it'll be generating huge amounts of free cash flow, plus other contract income e.g. from VENN ... enough to give us a cash dividend and put money into other areas of the business if needed. And that's in addition to cash or equivalent (e.g. NASDAQ shares) for (i) imutex and (ii) wearables data. Looking jolly good for '21. GLA
Just reading my Christmas book "The Body - A Guide for All Occupants" by Bill Bryson. Its clever and amusing and I thoroughly recommend it. But for all 4d'ers I suggest chapter 3 "Microbial You" as a great read. You come away from it with a greater appreciation of how important the world of microbes is to humans, and increasingly so, how massive and diverse the subject is, how little is known / understood, and how much potential there seems to be for those working in this field to develop beneficial novel therapies. As a global leader in live biotherapaeutic products, the future for 4d and all involved, including us shareholders, looks very interesting and exciting. Good luck for 2021 to all at the company and all investors who look forward to 4d's successes.
and by the way, thanks Trader_3 for finding and sharing that article - a very nice early Christmas present and should be compulsory reading ... (if you haven't seen it here's the link again ... https://www.valuethemarkets.com/2020/12/21/we-are-scaling-up-rapidly-and-at-minimum-expense-open-orphans-cathal-friel-on-the-pharma-services-firms-exciting-plans-for-2021-and-beyond/)
I like this: “Even better, we have said we will have another facility before Christmas. We haven’t said where that will be but it will be happening. So, we haven’t just doubled our capability, we have tripled it. That is really exciting, we are scaling fast and at minimum expense to the corporate because we don’t have to build on long, expensive leases.”
excellent RNS this morning - another one not necessarily anticipated, but which signals more cash into the bank account during 2021, and more importantly is a reminder of the high status ORPH has in the industry.
Bronx - what you gonna do about it? Waffle away on here day in day out? Do you think CF is reading, that your whining is going to have any kind of positive impact?
2020 has been a superb year for ORPH. All the indications are that 2021 will be even better. Unlike many companies on AIM, ORPH is actually delivering now and in a very substantial way - orders in place, facilities fully booked, cash in the bank and shedloads more to come. All workstreams firing on all cylinders. I don't care about piddling short term ups and downs - I'm not a trader, I'm an investor - and I expect to still be here this time next year with the value of my investment more than double what it is now. I think the risk of that not happening is low. And on top of that there are at least 3 genuine strong chances of a special dividend in one form or another. SP reversion towards proper value and 1 or more dividends could come at any time - makes it all very exciting.
Irritated with the whiffle on here with some people trying to guess IIs positions and motivations. If you're worried about what you think they're doing then take that into account with your own strategy. You don't need to plague us with it.
Good luck to all investors!
If you want to ask cathal questions email him or the company. He's not gonna spend his day reading your carp on here
Stop lying. All institutions have not sold.
Bronx. Stop de4amping. Most have NOT sold their holdings. Some of the smaller ones have, numerous bigger ones haven't. And it was ala9 pointed out that this info reflects positions at various different dates
Interestingly, in yet another part of the ORPH empire, we're working towards having our own 'nasally administered, broad-spectrum agent designed to leverage the body’s innate immune system to prevent respiratory tract viral infections'. Have a look here :
https://hvivo.com/aboutus/imutex-joint-venture/prep-biopharm-ltd/prep-001/
I contacted PrEP recently and they confirmed: 'We are ... currently working toward getting a phase2b study for PrEP-001 up and running next year'.
NST - my view is things change in the worlds ORPH is working in, and at the moment they are changing quickly. I for one am very pleased that we've got a leader and company that are prepared to flex rather than sticking rigidly to plans prepared in different circumstances. If that means adjusting focus or extending timescales in order to take advantage of opportunities for growth and bigger gains for shareholders, then bring it on. End of a calendar year is arbitrary - company should and is responding positively to changing business cycles and opportunities. Great stuff!
covmutley - that suggests to me that they didn't do it properly ... hence my disappointment in them ...
I'm invested here and confident for 2021. But hugely frustrated at the lack of effective PR in this period since the SPAC was announced. Its almost like the company (well at list its PR function) don't want to say too much / promote the co. I hope they're going to sharpen up and be much more energetic and imaginative in the new year.
toastal - who's getting twitchy about covid vacs development? Bring it on - CF was very clear in recent interviews that there is much interest in challenge trials for the 2nd generation vaccines.
I believe there is no change in the pursuit of 3rd and 4th facilities
sp being held just a little longer to let Jim Mellon complete his intended additional buying ...
I'm an investor in ORPH, not a trader. I'm not trying to make a quick 10-20%. I researched the company and on the strength of that have put quite a lot of money in (for me - I'm not wealthy). I know that there will be ups and downs on the way but I believe in 12-18 months I will have a very good return on my investment. And I expect I will also have the benefits from special dividends (or equivalent) from imutex, data, and possibly the cash mountain which is going to be generated over that period. And since researching and investing, the performance of CF and the ORPH companies have exceeded my expectations. So whilst sp in very recent short term hasn't necessarily kept up with performance, I'm very confident that it will bounce over coming weeks / months. And the bounce(s) could come at any time with so many strings to ORPH's bow, which makes the journey interesting and exciting too. That's why I'm happy! GLA investors.
