Headline today about surcharges to be introduced for domestic gas energy users to encourage move to electric as household energy. Elec storage surely to be required in form of big batteries so another potential market for lithium to help counter any reduction in demand due to delay in ban of ICE vehicles?

Deltalo - grow up and learn instead of endlessly spouting. As if any gas Co would not announce expected flow rate prior to drill ! How could they expect any investment without guidance flow rates?

As I said, deltalo, do your own research by reviewing previous RNS with flow guidance from IOG, but it was roughly approx 20mmscfd from each of the two Southwark wells when last forecast before the sh*t hit the fan with both wells.

Deltalo, IOG did give expected flow rates from Southwark so don't chat sh*t and do your background research before posting your BS.

The news about E fuels in the EU keeping ICE going beyond 2035 could dent the rush for lithium supply in Europe a bit. We can only wait and see how things develop now with that news breaking today, but it could really damage EV sales and demand.

Tough sh*t. APA only have max of 50 days and need to consider public opinions after the 10 days period so time ticking big time and no scope for longer. Doesn't take long to read and raise any concerns or objections so 10 days is plenty.

BH will not be involved at all. CAL energy are a subsidiary Co of a subsidiary Co of BH so are way down the BH corporate chain. How much are CAL worth ? Youmention a very rich partner but are clearly referring to BH who are not directly involved with IOG. Cos do not set up subsidiary cos for no reason....BH will never be directly involved and CAL finances will need to support this themselves, not feeding off BH's pot directly. Buffet didn't get where he is throwing money after lost causes so if IOG can't make H2 succeed I fear CAL will be planning an exit or a hostile takeover for peanuts.

Summary of EIA sounds very good and surely will be approved, otherwise I would guess no mine would ever be able to gain approval in future if this can't!
The sp slide back into the 2's is depressing as I thought we might gradually advance upward towards end of May but it seems not.

How can chart show 1.4M trade at 9.47am but trades only show around 0.25M all day so far?

A couple of massive elephants I the room here....yes the sp may double or better if H2 is a success and flows as expected and without liquids also, but IOG track record suggests that is far from a given. And also, don't be expecting last years revenue from same flow rate as the gas price has more than halved since then and could go lower yet, nobody knows, but revenue from equivalent flow would likely be only half at best and likely less. And if H2 has ANY issue at all then be prepared for the sp to halve or worse in an instant as IOG future is reliant on H2 being a 100% success without issues.

Anniversary today of first gas from Saturn Banks and if anyone had said sp would be sub 5p 12 months later they'd have been carted off in a straight-jacket !

CM - it would be very concerning if both SAV and APA needed to use every single available day and take us to 2nd June to decide ! I think I'll jump out before then if that looks likely as I can't imagine that scenario would end well for SAV.

CM - my understanding is that they have a legal maximum of 50 working days (10 weeks)to issue their decision following submission by IOG, so 26th May is latest possible date for decision. My gut feel is it'll be much earlier as APA have worked closely with IOG so likely to already know what the EIA says and a prompt decision should therefore be possible in April I reckon, which the EU would favour to demonstrate how effective the new policy of prioritising CRM projects is.

Seems like SAV are taking it to the wire with the EIA submission deadline next Friday and still no announcement of submission. I sincerely hope they're not struggling to meet the deadline after the fairly recent comments stating they would meet it. It'll be squeaky bum time if no news by next Wednesday and the sp will surely keep sliding up to the news as more and more nervous holders jump out in case they fail and its game over.

It's perfect timing really for SAV to be submitting the EIA for approval just as this kicks in, as surely the EU will not allow the embarrassment of a high-profile rejection to dampen the impact of its new policy.
