Just picked up 28,500 @ 10.4 so some are back on the menu.

The spread is getting so narrow atm I can barely tell a buy from a sell (about .05p), yet this morning (about .40p) huge variable on an 11p share, is this normal to the more experienced investors - the volatility.

Sold 10k Amer this morning thought this share aint moving for awhile, bought 10k Koov's on my watchlist (roomers of Amazon) went up 20% sold some & bought back in Amer at lower price - for once the markets went my way, yipeee....

Maybe a screaming buy in the near future but today im thinkin of the opportunity cost over the next 3 mths, ie...what will I miss out on or not be able to react to whilst my money is being held in this unforgiving share.
Lets face this share aint goin newhere till Rex fooks off & good news comes out, so lets say 3 mths.

Not enough in the report to move the share price esp whilst still a big seller. Well hopefully in 3 months Rex will be sold up & things can settle down to a more normal valuation.

Maybe, but would you really choose the time that the share price is in the pits to stop releasing news ?

Seems he is unhappy with the Saudies over the Embassy murder (which is highly understandable) I can only see the Saudi's reducing output in response to anyone sanctioning them - well the markets may well think that way neway - Oil could be on the rise sooner than expected + none saudi Oil may become extremly popular. Heres hoping.

Wouldn't ONGC have even more to gain than GTE from a takeover, & couldn't they bid up against each other ?

Im maxed out got my average down to 15.5 on 700,000 ish so im as committed as can be atm...& will prolly need more than one piece of good news to get into profit, yet oddly I feel confident. Esp given the mass sell effects all markets atm

If this share ever does pop (& omg I hope it does) is any one else tempted to try & play the share up, I personnally carnt wait to buy the magic £73 x 10 times each day on the last minutes of trade (tho i may be using the wrong code amount at £73 & trigger another sale omggggggg)lol

U would think the BOD would have a clue this was coming months ago, & therefore be looking to raise company value as much as possible, ie..test drilling all over the place looking for extra reserves etc..

On a completly side issue to the current topics, how has the effect of the pounds fall effected the companies profitability. I presume all the oil transactions & most of the assets are held in dollars & only converted to pounds at the creation of the financial statement date, but I maybe wrong. Therefore would the results continue to be better in a weaker pound environment.

All i no as a relatively inexperienced & new investor, since 20p days (tho thankfully cautious then) these boards have helped me greatly, in understanding the background to this company.<br /><br />Whilst it does seem easy to get carried away atm with the potential uplifts ahead, it seems there is equally alot of bad management & in the past baggage. <br /><br />So for me it boils down to the simple, does the share price today take account of all prior mismanagement (i think yes), does the share price today take into account all future potential (i think not).<br /><br />Therefore i have stayed invested & added.
