Agreed its really difficult to find negatives now.

I cant wait for this years financial statements, what was the exchange rate at the last year end, since if they have everything in dollars & only convert to £ for reporting purposes just imagine the uplift the collapsed pound has given them.

It doesn't matter how high it gets today or tommorrow, this is a decent hold share.

My gosh I thought the company was a good buy b4 the N Sands (when we were also 15.5p) duster due to several factors.
1) Very useful assets - I mean a pipe in a jungle flooded environment where most others truck the stuff out.
2) Lots of land with plenty of oil on it & around it.
3) Rex sales depressing price
4) Piles of cash & no debt.
5) Experienced BOD (cutting production on weak Oil prices & land grabbing)
My negatives at the time were BOD pay, slow drilling & potential dwindling reserves.

So now all of the above positives still apply + we can add
6) Strong Director share buys
7) Strong potential reserves (CPO 5) thats one negative removed.
8) Potential farm out of pipe to third parties (new income stream)
9) New partner to explore outlying tracks of land (thats the slow drilling negative removed) +50% of somethin better than 100% of nothing+not forgetting a little land acquistion at the same time & no costs incurred.
10) Even more cash in the pile.
11) High chance of company being bought up at considerable mark up.

So my negatives are down to BOD pay & tbh I'll let them off that if they push the share price up.

@ 9.30 am start of a 213,185 small sell (day trader short) @ 15.32p avg sell, buy 15.40p

@ 9.51am (after sells) buy back is 15.39p ie...no material movement.

Alot different from last week imo

This has got to be dangerous play for them today.

Prior to this week its defo been a good money spinner, but notice how slow the MM's are to drop the buy price, makes it much tougher to get back in after a shorting atempt, not to mention how fast the uplift shifts go at unpredictable times.

Very tight spread from the off, thats new.

I dont expect this share to reach its potential value anytime soon.

But days like today must make the shorters alot more nervous, & hopefully they will go elsewhere for their fun for abit.

On the plus side we are approaching my average at 15.5p (since the N Sands debacle) & im confident I inadvertently got in cheap given the recent developments (however I could of really done without the drop to 9.5p we suffered, that was just a grim month or 2), dont suppose many get their timing perfect tho....

Fair enough my bad (but im not promoting anyone).

Just a shame actual discussion cannot take place, good & BAD points.

Perhaps I just feel sorry for folks who have lost money here (inc me tho I only treated it as a punt so didnt put much in).

I'm not here to promote other shares so wont name other oilers - but feel free to inspect my other posts & you will see who I back.

If you are a LTH tho & truely believe growth in SP will arrive anytime soon argue the facts.

1) Will the directors continue drawing salaries till the next fully funded (as of today but maybe not in 6mths) drill.
2) Will there be a risk free chance to reinvest b4 the next drill (highly likely)
3) Will the company ever find oil (maybe not)

As you say im not invested here anymore & my interest level is low, so prolly wont post anymore.

Posters talking cash pile this & that, by the time the next drill hits some dirt here the directors will have had all the cash out in wages & bonuses.

Do yourself a favour & get out whilst you got 2p plenty of other oilers out there with actual potential right now.

Is been slowly dropping since the duster & it will continue to do so....

Just thinkin in these uncertain times where else would i want my money in the stock markets.

No to all UK company based shares re Brexit, low growth, volatile environment little chance of making decent returns short term.

No to India - Oil price all over the place, fall outs with finance ministers/resignations, lots of risks.

No to asia/pacific/japan - no material growth lately, seems riskier than this time last year.

No to America - All overvalued, just waiting for corrections.

Big Oilers - Well probably no significant gains on the horizon, always chance of recession to dampen.

Tiny Oilers - Boom or Bust on the wells, high risk.

Amerisur - undervalued assets easliy supporting existing share price low risk of drop, large reserves currently not included in valuation (but we now know they are there), expansion plans/third party farm out of pipeline, piles of cash & growing even if oil price drops, loads of land & new partners helping the exploration efforts at no risk to the company, Oh & directors buying up tonnes of share at this price + constant chance of takeover.

Why are more not interested ? Why are the big funds not buying ? Why are we letting the MM's dictate the price anymore ?

Seriously no where else I want my money invested atm...

I raised this a little while back & correctly was told that CPO 5 is a long way from the current pipe so unless the find is massive other exit routes would be preferrable & more cost effective.

Given the potential size of the find, is this discussion back on the table ?

So prior to the find many posters were putting conservative asset valuations of 30p per share, I wonder where this current strike moves that position to (I no with all the MM games it'll take awhile to reach any targets).

Never doubted the potential of this share, but do struggle with the timing (similar to most), so yep I am less enthusiastic than some, but do hope for the best.

TBH its not my main investment, as that honour belongs to oil atm, & I am mainly here as some weird hedge to offset oil(yes I know it prolly barely corrolates but I wanted somthing in India that when oil drops picks up here - the fact that this has its own potential is bonus).

Most of my investments appear to be targeting low valued companies with potential large upsides, & tbh I dont know which will pay out first, the gains from one hopefully flowing into the other.

Maybe ill win, maybe ill lose, but its at least its a plan & im confident in the chosen companies on both sides of the fence.

STAGE 1 - Having a large oil strike today, awaiting decent uplift. ON TARGET

STAGE 2 - Find a good buy in for Koovs prior to RNS release. Only a toe hold atm..

Agreed, I mean im invested in Columbian Oil just to get away from it all.

Dont need it following us here, at least discuss it in a UK share where its more relevent (only issue to me is pound/dollar exchange rates & there effect on the financials of Amerisur imo).

TBH I dont want to clutter the BB with useless drival, frankly I have no idea how the share price operates, no linkage with assets, growth potential, oil prices up or down.

Just let the MM's get on with it, after all the carnage settles as long as I have the same number of shares I held at the start of the day no harm done & just keep awaiting more news. Its the only way to lock in gains imo
