Mick - I’ve been assuming the monetisations are well under way, given SYME are already offering this service. Obviously this is a unique model so nothing surprises, but it would seem strange (to me anyway) to have all the companies piled up waiting for every contract to be signed, unless that is at the request of the funders. Doesn’t seem very fluid though.

It would be the bank or funder that would be the agent.

Although I couldn’t see a situation where a serious investor or investment bank would want to get tied up in dealing with government loans.

A lot of work, high risk, little reward.

I’ve dealt with a couple of the retail banks on acquiring coronavirus loans. Trust me they are not enjoying their role as “custodians of the public purse”. They are having to dish out large volumes of potentially high risks loans (which SYME’s model in it’s current form shouldn’t entertain) with only 80% cover from the government. Not too sure of the mechanics in Italy, Middle East, etc.

I believe quantitive easing is facilitated by central banks buying back government loan notes.

I don’t see what role SYME could play there. Technically they would be the beneficiary if it created liquidity amongst the funding banks/partners.

The mcap is just the SP x the number of shares in issue.

It’s moving constantly all the time.

I’ve always assumed I missed the boat with that one so I’ll take a look.

Tex - I think between 0.3 and 0.35 all the negativity is priced in and this becomes a strong buy.

From here it’s boom or bust IMO between now and the spring.

I’m in the weird position of having quite a lot of money coming in and nothing to buy. Im married mortgaged kids etc so nothing big in the horizon for the foreseeable future. So have a three pronged approach of paying down mortgages, piling into pension (long term money for the guys who (should) know what they are doing, and then buying shares with the rest which is my gamble and money I can afford to lose.

Yeah I’ve had a look at a second house and that would be a long long term investment.

Tax wise I’d probably break even on a month by month basis if I had a tenant in. It would cost me empty though.

If SYME was to get anywhere near £1 I’d be buying multiple houses with cash :)

I’m on track to have my mortgage cleared by the time I’m 43 so a decent result here and I can knock it on the head as soon as I hit the sell button hopefully in 12-18 months time.
