There are two parts to this. As I remember it AZ referred to making the UK a global hub due to our common law which I believe is following by the Middle East region. As luckybob has already mentioned common law is based on the principle of precedent.

With regards to the international angle AZ was referring to all clients being IFRS compliant which is the international accounting standard. So the platform can be applied to any region and accounting framework as long as the client companies follow IFRS 15 which is the revenue recognition standard.

I would say corporation tax would be payable once coins are sold.

If the purpose of the company is to mine and sell bitcoin then I don’t think they would be treated as a capital gain.

It would be a subsidiary of TAG like the bank and no benefit would accrue to us.

The RNS clearly states that SYME are making the acquisition.

I’m not too sure why there’s so much hostility to what seems a perfectly reasonable question. Se need to know how much it will cost and how it will be paid for.

Share swap seems like the most obvious option - although I’m not too sure how this works and how desirable it would be to receive shares of an non-established company to give up your established shares.

I think when you invest in small cap stocks dilution, warrants, etc, are par for the course - if you’re unfamiliar then have a look on soon AIM board like RMS, BIDS, etc, it’s common place. If you’re holding long and you believe in the mission it shouldn’t matter and should be viewed as a positive investment by the board.

Their business should have done well I guess. I suppose it depends on whether they finance at a group or individual entity level.

I’m a shareholder in TED so I know about their long established stock problem. There’s probably quite a lot of companies in the smart event wear category overstocked at the minute. Companies like Moss Bros, although they might not meet the credit test.

All speculation of course.

I think you’ve got to look at who might be cash constrained.

If it’s a UK company I’d take a punt at someone like Ted Baker who are also carrying a large volume of stock.

No events happening, workwear, etc, but probably a decent bet on a re-opening play.

Boohoo have got £250m in the bank .....

We’ve been having fun so far with this since the brexit deal. Dealing with customers and suppliers has been quite easy as one side agrees with the other the incoterms. However dealing with this inter-group has been a nightmare. For example, we have companies in uk supplying Southern Ireland. Absolutely nightmare coming to an arrangement that satisfies everyone and maintain a margin that everyone is happy with.

The only downside to commodities is they are obviously volatile so the funder would be exposed to the fluctuations.

Not necessarily an issue though as plenty of investors want that exposure.

You wouldn’t have been wanting to sold an oil token this time last March for example.
