What do you think will be in the trading update?

I know from my own work experience at the minute how goods are stuck in containers or are in the wrong place at the wring time at the moment.

Shipping costs have flown up as well so more stock gets tied up in transit as manufacturers move to less but larger orders to bring these costs down and try and achieve some economies of scale.

The real interesting part of this is the move into commodities (which I previously thought wouldn’t fit) ie diversifying into areas other than finished goods.

It suggested to me that unless they are doing some kind of raise we must have a decent amount of cash coming into from the first round of due diligence, unless ‘TAG’ are helping fund it.

We should know once we complete and get the finer detail.

That’s an interesting development.

Rocky yep - I think part if the problem it that it’s been so pumped up, passionate Italian, etc, etc. All this ‘ready to fly’ BS. Serious investors can see straight through it. I’d like to see POC, ten clients over the line. No company goes from £0 to £20m in a year, it just doesn’t happen.

Next update has to address the funding issues raised in the accounts.

I stopped reading here .... it’s not hard to do some basic research it is. The very Q&A she is quoting from explains that the UK is in pilot phase.

Ex - I’d say that timetable sounds spot on.

“15. Do you expect any delays for the next securitisation in March 2021?
We do not anticipate any at this stage. SYME is already working for new securitisation issuances, considering the other geographies (UK, UAE, US).”

This was last week in the Q&A. Then it the tweeted article today

“Something will be evident at the end of the month or at the end of April, when the company will respectively provide a trading update and publish the 2020 financial statements, but the boom in revenues and profits should be seen this summer, with the publication of the accounts”

It’s very inconsistent messaging given we’ve got IR/PR firm on board. Plus it’s really basic stuff.

I still think the Q&A was written before the new year as he refers to a potential trade deal when asked about the impact of a brexit. If it was current we know the outcome of those negotiations.

Rocky - the April accounts will be for the second half of 2020 and there will be an official audited business review. There may well be some due diligence fees in there and we should have more detail on overheads, money in the bank, etc.

I’m seeing how it plays out after this next update. Minimum of a funder named is a must for me.

Luckily I’m not over exposed here particularly.

I’m not too sure what Walbrook are doing for their money as I find the PR inconsistent and at times misleading and it’s only in good faith that I don’t think this is intentional.

So at the end of December we are told in January that the client companies will receive a communication from the company explaining who the funder is.

In January the accounts are released which explain that funding has caused delays and casting doubt over going concern.

In February we get a couple of nonsense propaganda nudge nudge winks winks over Twitter of potential business developments.

March, we get re-listed and AZ gives a Stella Q&A which sends everyone into overdrive giving the impression that extremely good news is imminent, suggesting the end of the month.

Today, we get a tweet, In Italian, which puts the breaks on those expectations and kicks this in the long grass till the summer.

Now you can dress this up whatever way you want but it don’t look good. Especially when you look at the quality of engagement and output from other small caps like Argo and HE1.

I suspect this will probably trend down to the 40’s as the market doesn’t seem particularly convinced at the moment. We’re 6.25% down since re-listing and I think the trading update will be another damp squib and the catalyst for this will be late spring/early summer.

New tax year starts April 6th

I was having a good read of the investors section last night of the website and I think the biggest question mark at the moment is the autostore action. Heavy exceptional costs expected this year potentially although it looks like we are counter suing on some infringements the other way round.

Also the £44m lost included £100m insurance reimbursement from the CFC fire so we are not quite as near break even as I thought. Huge potential though and definitely a long term growth play so if there is a dip on results I will top up if it gets near 2000p.

Hopefully that will temper some of the excess expectations.

Interesting as it looks like the FCA were looking at the model rather than just the RTO so it’s positive in terms of them letting this trade again.

Trading results look like they are now coming in the summer. So what’s coming at the end of the month? Confirmation of funder? Due diligence fees?

I understand that. I’m looking at the technical accounting aspect of how the funder presents their investment on their balance sheet.

Yep. I’m dying to know how it all works in practise as it’s the square I’ve never been able to circle.

Course I forgot about the existing US listing.

Do we know how many shares are in US and UK?

Fdsf - the question I am asking is if we list on the Nasdaq do LSE shares transfer over to the US market or if a dual listing do we have to issue another load of shares in the US and therefore get diluted further?

Would a listing on the NASDAQ not mean more dilution?

I’m not 100% sure how these things work. Would this mean our shares moving over to the US would they have to issue more shares?

I think the SP is definitely being affected by the dilution.
