Yes, the placement has been allocated which is great news and long term the £22mil will accelerate the progress considerably, but that kind of dilution has never been particularly welcome. However, I shouldn't complain really as I am still shifting money about in ISAs etc so as to make the most of Avacta's inevitable rise. I am also into RENE in a big way, another very promising company.

The reason the sp is in decline is because I bought some GNC shares! I'm the usual kiss of death on any share, even the ones that are in great condition like GNC. I'm sure there is a slightly more technical reason than that like it's just passed ex-div date, but I'm holding until div is paid and then I'll review the situation.

Would it be foolish to suggest that a consolidation is about due, because no one is going to take Avacta shares seriously at this price and with the progress being made and the potential for "tens of millions of dollars" to be paid to the company, what on earth is going on?

Yes, I have noticed it and I don't know if the news will be good or bad regarding the suspension of trading of Horse Hill companies. Have to wait and see.

Avacta does have 4,979,40million shares in circulation, hence the low sp.

As I understand it, Moderna can order Affimers from Avacta for specific purposes (targets) and once produced, Avacta cannot produce the same Affimers for anyone else but Moderna. I think that Moderne can then be granted a license to produce the specific Affimers itself and paying Avacta huge amounts of money for the privilege. I believe that "several tens of millions of dollars" was mentioned. What amazes me, is that other companies with less potential than Avacta have SPs of around £1.00 even though they are still in the testing stages, so I really think that after all this time ( in since 2009 ) the only way is up now. Completely agree, but the stream of new products I feel, will be the increase in the Sensipod menu and the commercialization of the Affimers which is the real money spinner.
