I'm an optimist. I like to think that the MMs are dropping the SP to convince people to sell, knowing that there is blockbuster news on the way. I will be pilloried for having this opinion, but it's no worse than some of the other tripe that's posted on here.
Prostate.
Although I have been invested in PHC since 2021, I have only just found this BB. Does anyone else think that the name Plant Health Care sounds a bit weak? I emailed the company to suggest that "Global Crop Solutions" sounds much more dynamic, but there was no reply. I feel that PHC has massive potential, but the wrong name.
I am sorry if this has already been discussed, but has anyone thought about the problems if Hunt pushes forward with his £100k cap on ISA holdings?
I'm knocking on a bit, so personally, If Avacta comes good, I'm outta here. I've been with this company since 2009 and enough is enough. May still dabble a bit though.
Always watching, but rarely post. Here's hoping for a good 2023.
Be careful what you wish for. Hunt is already planning to ravage private pensions and is probably going to give the bird to the triple lock. Will he turn to ISAs next? If there is a decent size takeover bid, mine like many others here will be £1 mil plus, so I'm voting for slowly but surely.
Exactly right EGTP, and TW has made the same dreadful mistake.
Don't you mean in- vivo?
I absolutely love it!
"Hopefully the company can turn things around as there is still promise"
Have you done any research on Avacta Mr.S?
Fully agree with you EGTP and I am truly sorry to learn of your losses.
I have met Alastair a couple of times and I found him to be one of the most genuine people you could want to meet, so I have complete confidence in his abilities as a CEO and as a scientist. I am quite content to sit back and wait for the outcome of the work that AVCT is carrying out because I think that it will come good in the end.
I only hold 50K shares in Avacta and yes I'm a little bit in the negative, but the trolls don't bother me in the slightest. I know why I am here, and that's the end of it.
Please, please, please tell me that these roadshows aren’t just going to regurgitate the same old info over and over again that we have seen on many occasions. It just doesn’t make any sense. I sincerely hope I’m wrong.
My only concern here is that the results of the AVA6000 trials have not been as sparkling as was hoped and the roadshows are to re-assure the major holders the there will be jam tomorrow. On the other hand, I hope that the results are sparkling and that major holders increase their holdings thereby boosting the SP ready for a placing or a US listing. I could certainly do with a bit of relief from the day to day searches for the elusive RNS, and the horrific *****ing that goes on on this BB.
I did the same with my local MP and also spoke with him on the telephone regarding Avacta. I don't know what happened about it. Has it made any difference? I don't know.
May I suggest that the only way that Avacta is going to win any kind of contract with HMG is to become a Tory party donor. £100K seems to be the ideal amount, at least for a £63million share of our tax money.
I think you will find that unless an MP or someone connected to an MP or even a company with an MP on the board is going to make a shed load of money out of an LFT I doubt that it will get a look in. I am completely dismayed at the at the blatant cronyism, corruption and complete incompetence of this government and I fear that now that it is run by the media, any success of AVA6000 will be hushed, unless a crony can make money out of it. I hope that I am proved wrong.
No, I have been following and investing in Avacta since 2009.
I've been with Avacta since 2009. I hold 50k shares and have met Alastair on a number of occasions and disagree with the flak that he has received over the months, especially the use of "Smith" as an address. If you sat in front of him and called him "Smith" he would bury you with the technology and knowledge stored up in his incredible brain and he would make a complete fool of you. I have full confidence in the future of Avacta, and I think that the side show of LFTs is nothing worth getting screwed up about. I would also like to see £5 per share as a starter, but I'm pretty sure that the company will get bought out at some point for telephone numbers. If not, £5 per share will do me as I am knocking on a bit.
Ha ha,
I’ve made a shed load of money out of the odd TW nugget and got out of shares before a big drop on his advice. Fair enough, most of it is bluster, but not all.
