All this talk about spitting on the test strip, why not suck it for 10 seconds. Could even have different flavours, lol.
I fully agree with RoxburyHouse. I have had several very useful tips from non related boards and I have mentioned Avacta on other boards and been thanked for it. We are here to make money and the more help we can give each other the better a far as I’m concerned, so by all means filter me because I am not too keen on narrow minded people.
I’m 135% up with ORPH, so no complaints really. I am looking to sell half and top up with even more AVCT. I would like to see a small retrace here first just to get a bit of a discount, but I was in at 19p and 26 p so I suppose I shouldn’t be greedy.
I have this down as a dead duck, so not expecting to get my money back.
Richard Smith?
I’m well up profit wise here, so I’m having a bit of fun trading this. May have made a slight error this morning though.
I expect that like a lot of investors on here, I was invested before covid19 came on the scene. I am also invested in several companies that have rocketed because of covid19. I should feel guilty, making money off the back of such a lousy disease, but I don't, because these companies are really making a difference and helping to make the world a safer place. No crystal ball I'm afraid, just right place, right time and lady luck. I'm not going to waste this opportunity to make some serious money and recoup some of my past losses. Good luck everyone, and make the most of it.
I disagree, I sold 15000 avct this week at 107p and bought back in this morning at 92p which has given me another 2377 shares. It’s always worth a trade if you are keeping an eye on things.
I am very pleased that my 88 shares are doing so well.
Me too, along with a wardrobe full of SKIN. Luckily I invested heavily in AVCT and SNG so made up losses. Wouldn’t it be good though, if both IQAI and SKIN really took off.
This may have been posted already, but I see that TW is gloating about the “ prick that will burst the AVACTA bubble.” What a pity he is gloating about the wrong test. Lol.
As a matter of interest, Tom Winnifrith has absolutely ragged Avacta in today's bearcast. He says that the market cap is rediculous and that Emirates has already got a test that takes ten minutes so that passengers are tested before they board the plane. Interesting. apologies if this has already been posted.
Avacta has two main assets, firstly, Dr. Alastair Smith. Having met him a few times, I find him to be the kind of guy that you would follow to the ends of the earth, very bright, shrewd and full of enthusiasm, but still has time to talk to the small investor. Secondly, the Affimer platform. Both thrapeutics and diagnostics have enormous potential, and when Affimers are proven to be safe and effective after in vivo tests are completed, the improvement in cancer treatment will be transformational, as will the share price.
Well said and a sensible strategy. I messed up with VRS and stood back whilst over £50k slipped through my fingers. It’s not going to happen again. I do feel that your 50% rule could be slightly limiting with AVCT because reports suggest that the company could be worth very serious amounts of money within 2-3 years, so perhaps top slicing would be better as and when. GL.
I posted earlier that I thought that the MMs might raise the sp first thing to get everyone buying again and then drop it back to panic people into selling, but the post was removed? Odd.
I doubt that this news will mean the resurgence of AX1 (Midas), but the Affimer assay is ideally suited to this kind of rapid test. This could be very lucrative for Avacta.
Thanks Taff8. really cheered me up.
i now have 80, worth diddly squat. Another dead duck.
It’s always worth remembering that the MM’s job is to rob you blind, and they are very good at it.
A shake is a tree shake where the MMs artificially drop the sp to scare people into selling and to trigger stop losses so they can hoover up shares at a low price. The sp usually returns to its original value on the same day.
