Finncap reckons that Avacta's share price could more than double over the next year.

Sorry to be vague here, but I read somewhere that the commodity market is awash with "promissory notes" for gold with nowhere near enough of the stuff to fulfill them, so things would appear to look very good for OMI.

It's difficult enough to make money at this game as it is, but your portfolio must be down 25% with the Avacta share dropping like it has. You might want to take a look at OMI, I'm up 106% on the cash I realized from selling most of my AVCT shares, but I intend to buy back in probably later in the year. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Avacta, but my money needs to work for me. I really hope that your strategy works for you.

Not had time to read it, but I think that the gist of it is what we all think, in that the potential is massive yet the sp doesn't reflect this. As I have said here before, until the money starts to roll in and it will, in vast quantities, the sp will stagnate. Fantastic time to buy though.

Small piece about Avacta in a long article about the Biotech companies to invest in for the future.Interesting to note that Abcam turns over £144 million and Avacta turns over £1.8 million. Gives you some idea of where Avacta will be one day! Bearing in mind that Avct's worst sp was about .5p, equivalent of 50p today, I can't think that the present sp has much further to fall. August/September may be buy back in time.

That's not the way to make money.

The old adage that you should not fall in love with a share has been proven correct here, which is why I sold out at £1.19 having read that it will be 18 months to two years before Avacta becomes profitable. However, what a share this is going to be when the money starts rolling in, and at what point will the MMs realize the inevitable truth that it's going to be massive. Now comes the real difficulty, when to buy back in. At this juncture I'm thinking early, to spring 2017, but who knows.

Have to agree with you there. I'm 60% up and no intention of selling.

valued at just over £6.00 is what my holding consists of now and what can I do about it? Absolutely nothing! But the fact is, I have done something about it. Six months I decided to stop wasting my money on these pathetic little penny shares. I have lost thousands of pounds gambling on these jam tomorrow companies and not one of them has ever left the basement. I now buy good quality shares that have a decent track record, good prospects and funding, plus an excellent BoD. Fair enough, the possibility of that elusive multibagger is less likely but not impossible, Take TRAK and GNC which have been very profitable. So you can do something about it, learn the lesson.

I've had Haydale on my screen for a long time now and I think my decision not to buy last year was a correct one. However, I feel that the time is right now, so if this price rise holds I'm in.

Yes, you could be right skippy. I bought in this morning and may well buy more after some more progress in the right direction. I don't really understand the product, but having researched a bit I find that I have a good feeling about the CEO and the company generally and that usually works for me.

I bought in yesterday after Jefferies International suggested a potential upside of 117%, so I had a quick search and yes, not a bad looking company. Bit more research and I'll probably buy more.

There is an interesting article in this publication this week on Trakm8. The author takes issue with TW and explains why the purchase of Route Monkey was such a shrewd move and why cash generation is not expected at this juncture. From my own (very expensively earned) experience, I have learned to spot bubbles. and TRAK isn't one of them.

If you always bear in mind that the job of the MMs is to rob you blind and then laugh at you for being such mugs, you may have a rough idea of what's going on here.

I am not very good with predictions, but I would guess that the consolidation will be followed by a business update which should give enough support to the £1.27 price tag of each share, otherwise it may tank and I am sure that Alastair Smith is far to shrewd to allow that to happen
