Agreed, if these are the only two options, a 'Julius Caesar' scenario would likely be the lesser of two evils. Although, neither would be good. Caesar was not officially an emperor. He held various titles, including dictator perpetuo (dictator in perpetuity) - so strong similarity with Trump in some respects.
