After watching a small snippet of todays proceedings, I no longer think ratification will happen anytime soon. The parliament is a dysfunctional rabble, they were having a sing song at one point, very sad

Ratification should mean just that, basically the official stamp on an agreement that was negotiated by a delegated official legal committee of the govt empowered to do the work as the central govt cant do everything centrally. If the govt now want to rip up that agreement then the previous committee had no authority to agree it and therefore ALL were not negotiating with the decision makers. I hope that is not the case

Just been watching parliament proceedings and it reminds me of UK Parish councils, bickering over wording peoples names and titles instead of real content. I cant see them ever agreeing the ratification this year at the pace they are going, I hope not......

Given parliament was adjourned indefinitely indicates to me they will not sit again until after the elections in December, so probably wont know anymore until New Year. I hope not but no incentive now to sit.

One important point I can find an answer too is Who owns the IP to the products is it DL and licences it to ENET or do ENET hold the IP rights directly. If its the former DL cant really loose if ENET goes?

It will only get better if when parliament return they Rat, if not things will go from bad to worse as company cannot move forward

The chiefs are only one area of Ghana, the opposition will be able to breed fear in the rest of the country about the deal based on previous past errors/corruption to win votes, hopefully by mid Sept this is all behind us in a positive way

What are the chances of Rat early September, I think very low because those in power know they should rat, but the Ghanian People are about to vote and who ever votes for Rat could be on the wrong side of public opinion and hence loose their seat, so sadly this is already an election issue. It is safer for those in power to do nothing as the people wont care that it hasnt been ratified. Also they will think the minerals have been in the ground millions of years whats a few more months matter to them.
