The Dame's work? ITVX? She was issuing bleak warnings about advertising revenue and slowdown in streaming on the platform in the summer. Next week we will get further updates as to the viewing figures on ITVX. It took much longer to go from 1 billion to 2 billion streams than the first 1 billion. People liked the launch and some of the high profile dramas put up but have now gone back to other outlets. So lots of investment in another "Britbox" and minimal returns..... The financial analysts were right when they dropped ITV after the big ITX announcement.

More content needed on ITVX. Kids want the big international series so best to strike up some content sharing with other traditional broadcasters around the world and maybe some deals with the big streamers.

Once she goes you will see everyone pile in. The only thing holding everyone back has been Dame Milquetoast McCall.

With the right appointment this could easily go back to pre covid price and see much larger revenues and reduced costs. A solid FTSE 100 company with one of the best known and loved brands.

Bald Eagle I have been clear on this forum many times. The Dame needs to stop wasting money on vanity projects. She needs to seek to build up a network of overseas broadcasters who will carry ITV content in their terrirtories in return for ITV getting exclusive rights to their content in the UK. Deals with Disney, Amazon and Netflix to make shows tailored to them in return for airing that show in the UK.

Reduce costs by inviting big partners to pay ITV studios to make content. Increase revenue by selling more content and increasing the choice on ITV by getting a larger range of shows from external partners.

The Dame's Guardian background has done her no favours. She now needs to maximise profit and focus less on making a safe and cuddly environment for ITV employees that has led to tolerance of Schofield and others grooming young employees.

Carolyn has been seen emptying her office. All preparations are being made for next weeks announcement. Her investment in ITV has failed to return greater revenue and viewing figures so is seen as a flop. New ideas are now required.

This recent fall is in line with the ftse 250 where smaller listed UK stocks are falling drastically in the last few weeks. Many billion £ companies have lost 20% in 6 weeks.

Sorry to sound like an apologist for the Dame's shoddy performance but this time I think the blame does lie with the market. I would be buying at this level alas I threw everything in to get that 1.7p dividend at 66p.

Hopefully given a few more weeks this will correct itself and be back up above 70p but do not expect the BoD to do anything to boost confidence. I just watched Thursday's question time and laughed as the panel mocked ITV's attempt to make employees declare relationships. They rightly saw it as a panic measure to stop future litigation and legal fall out. Weak response to Schofield crisis. Lygo and McCall will be hauled back before Parliament in the next few weeks.

Yes the US media company lie..... Have heard that so many times now. ITV have been a certainty to be taken over for 10 years and yet nobody touches it. Public service broadcaster and ITV news. Ofcom and comepetitions and markets would block any takeover. Microsoft struggled to get Activision over the line so ITV will be near impossible.

Quasi state owned broadcaster. Looking more and more like the privatisatised sections of the BBC every year. ITV studios seem to make half the BBC content now. Way too much government interference.

jane mulcachy who is carrying out the investigation must have found more than just the one cover up. if you look at just schofield, his "family friend" simon schofield who ran the theatre group where phillip met the young itv runner was also a child actor who was photographed at a young age stood next to a 30 year old schofield. the theatre group was dissolved in 2020 when phillip was forced by the press to come out as ***.

then you have piers morgan. hired by itv in 2015. kept on by the dame for ratings. photographed with every paedophile and groomer under the sun. he was someone who most likely knew of savile whilst he worked for the mirror group but failed to publish. close to max clifford.

jane mulcachy if she has had unrestricted access to emails and possibly minutes from meetings must have read so many conversations where people who had questionable pasts were kept on.

investors do not know what bombshells are about to hit. itv board need to just publish and own up to covering up grooming and possibly worse.

OG we had a certain poster who was fond of putting false buyout rumours up on this forum. Nigecompoop I think was his handle. He posted nonsense that he found anywhere on the internet. He claimed somebody by the name of Goldfinger knew of a mysterious US buyer for ITV. Nothing ever came of his tall stories and eventually when everyone had grown fed up of his false stories he did the walk of shame. He backed McCall 100% and lost half his pension as a result.

18th of October 2022 the rumour that ITV was prepared to sell part of the studios caused the Share Price to spike. For once the CEO looked to have paid attention to the share price and then created interest in the company.

One year on and nobody expects anything new out of ITV at the trading update. Just studio revenues up. Advertising revenues down. The same trned we have been watching for 6 years.

Carolyn McCall took 3.5 million in the year ending March 2023. Same as when she joined in 2018 and the share price was over 150.

When I asked her to resign at the 2022 AGM HR politely stepped in and said her pay was linked to performance.

Apparently in the year up to March 2023 Carolyn McCall achieved 82% of bonuses.......

Meanwhile Shareholders have lost billions due to her incompetence.

Still no publication of the inquiry but it looks like steps are being taken so that the "no mistakes" are not made in the future or at least top management can claim the employee or freelance staff decieved them.

Schofield his error of getting a boy he met at 13 a job was bad but worse still he was infected with the media culture and knowingly covered up his brothers acts of child abuse.

Lygo he has messed up to many times now and the toxic culture at "This Morning" looks to be his failure but he calimed "no mistakes" and 4 months later nobody is still admitting fault.

The whole culture at ITV is wrong. The Select Committee pointed out the share price when the 3 senior ITV people went before them. They saw the link. Failure to admit fault and error with the Share Price and business decisions also spreads over to the production side where they are loathed to take action against big stars.

ITV is like the USSR. Everyone is covering up failure and lying. They all believe their own spin and lies.

In April with the 3.4p dividend it lost that in early hours of trading after the cut off only to then recover close to 1.5-2p on that day. 2 weeks after that it was back to the 83-84p range. Since then it has been a slow deflation as people have lost interest.

6 months of inertia from the BoD and the SP has just fallen 20%.

Variety magazine ran a good summary. Select Committee found contradictions and inconsistencies in ITV execs evidence when they appeared before them. Lygo especially seems unreliable. In August they were promising publication of the lawyers inquiry in September......

Ex dividend date and almost at a 12 month low now. Tomorrow will possibly test the 12 month low.

Even with sizeable dividend the share fails to attract investors. Something about ITV just stinks and it is not the trading figures which are still healthy. What is making investors swerve this share?
