Puts the blame with the government for not creating growth in the economy. Stagnant and gloomy economy but she says TV advertising will bounce back

I for one can see positives here. In the 5 years since Caz joined us we have seen 10 or more trading updates and full year results. I am hopeless at maths and lazy but I am making an estimation that the average results day SP movement is now -5%+. More like a loss of 10% when you add the wipeout in March 2022 when the price fell from 110 to 90 in a day.

So folks today is a good day. By Caz's standards this could have been a hell of a lot worse.Only a 6% loss is better than the average Dame Carolyn results day. You all have that 1.7p dividend to collect in under 3 weeks. You lucky blighters.

Yes it is maybe a silly comparison but Disney + viewers which are more measurable were:

2020 73.3million

2021 118.1million

2022 164.2million

2023 146.7million

So ITVX is about to go into year 2. If it followed a similar pattern to Disney it would possibly reach that 2 billion hours viewed figure as currently it is at 1 billion. The streaming hours for 2022 are 800 million so the differennce from HUB to ITVX has not been huge.

I hope we get futher comment from Carolyn today. Need an update on Schofield inquiry as a minimum.

ITX is growing. Sure. That is part of the spin. It is still way off the projections we were given 18 months ago and you have to question how much more it will grow in a very competitive digital market. 18 months and we might be at peak viewing figures already. McCall would say give ITVX until 2026 but I think most people in media can tell her now how it is going to go in the next 2 years.

The day has only just begun. Could just be a momentary loss of nerve. Share Price could regain most of the losses by end of the day.

Some resignations right about now would boost the SP.

Yes the markets have voted and unlike most of the posts on this forum this morning they can see through the corporate spin.

Studios are dragging the rest of this business up. ITVX is not the saviour we were told it would be.

Good???? Do not believe the positive spin. Overall group growth is 1%. ITVX is nothing like the growth we were told it would be and hard to see how they double their audience 18months after launch.

The city looks to have got it right when they ditched ITV after the launch of ITVX. Big spend on a platform that is not delivering the numbers the Dame promised.

Studios are propping up the business. 1% overall group growth. Studios growth 9%

Total digital revenue 340m which is an additional 64m on 2022

Streaming hours 1096m

Nothing too exciting. ITVX still has along way to go to meet projected figures we were given at launch. Hard to believe that it is ever going to reach the 750m we were promised.

Now for the Schofield Inquiry. Who knew and who paid off the runner?

This is ITV generating movement. Could well be the 15.00 Director trade that Janus posted about. Maybe HR/payroll are tidying up Directors tax affairs before they cease to be an employee anymore.....

As well as the trading update tomorrow which I think will follow the trend of falling avertising and growing studio income we may well see the Inquiry published and maybe a statement.

Once again look at the figures for ITX tomorrow. We were promised at launch:

20 million active users a month

Doubling of streaming hours to 2 billion (annually?) by 2026

Doubling of digital revenues to 750million (again per annum).

Financial analysts will be picking over ITVX figures to see if there is a future in the free to air broadcasting model. If the 160 million investment in failing to yield good returns then the share price will move to reflect that.

Lets be clear. I am not here to manipulate anyone. I treat all posters with the exception of Janus with coutesy and respect. I am also not here to troll. I have never owned Easyjet (how many times will Janus repeat this lie/troll). I had no interest in the Dame until she moved to ITV and then 9 months into her tenure I started to post critical remarks about her after she failed to outline any direction or news ideas despite 200+ days in the job. I am one of her biggest critics on this board and the Share Price justifies those attacks.

Now please gentlemen, ladies and Janus can we all go back to talking about ITV and tolerating different opinions on the leadership.

I am onside now. I want people to buy ITV. I see a big upside in the Share Price. With the right CEO and leadership there is every reason that this could quickly recover to £1.50 and take back its place in the FTSE 100.

Do not settle for this poor performing BoD and CEO. Do not allow the ITV stooges to silence the criticism of a poorly performing share price.

In May/June I told people to get out of here when the SP was 71p. I did that. Put the money in Shell. Bought and sold a few times and collected a dividend and came back here for the dividend and bought from 70p down to 66. I bought 15% more in the number of shares that I had previously held. That means 15% more dividend payment coming down this month.

I get why you are angry after your long term play it safe strategy failed to pay off.

I see the ITV stooges are back. Investor relations and ITV employees paid to disrupt this forum and deflect blame.

Anyway judge the Dame on results day. Very clear promises were made about her baby ITVX at launch. Never too early to assess if they can be reached and if the 160 million additional spend is going to reap the rewards we were promised.

So at launch we were told:

Doubling of digital revenues to 750million

No excuses. ITV Board approved this vanity project knowing we were facing war and going into an economic downturn. City analysts gave their verdict back in March 2022. Now one year into launch we can assess if the bold promises are being met.
