Hopefully some consolidation soon, the discounts are simply too wide.

I'm invested mostly in these infrastructure funds, best is INPP which actually makes me money lol. I won't be reinvesting anymore dividends and instead using them to diversify away from the sector.

I would like some capital appreciation so I'm able to sell some to speed up that process.

Live and learn, will see what next year brings, nice recession wouldn't go a miss 😂.

Regarding the asset life, they said current portfolio averages around 9 years and the expected wind farm life is around 30 years, so plenty of wiggle room for a while.

I think shares held in treasury rather than cancelled mean the same in terms of less shares outstanding, so a smaller pie in terms of dividend payments and EPS.

Cancelled just means dead and no longer available for issue at a premium (don't make me laugh 😂).

Another update another declining NAV, what's the point.

I've learnt a valuable lesson this last year in dollar cost averaging up to a position, unfortunately I've been guilty in thinking I'm getting a bargain when prices drop off their peaks only to find out they can drop much much further. All I'm saying is tread lightly dyor etc.

Its a mixture and i think averages out to just under 5% which is pretty crap considering the size of the fund and the credit available to them. It will be in the results blurb, search interest, will see if I can find it.

A couple of the questions were decent, they just answered with the usual BS, but atleast they confirmed the assets are producing income as expected albeit with lower wind speeds not helping, hopefully these variables will increase to the high end moving forward giving the sector a lift, time will tell.

£1m shares purchased today, that will do very nicely. Sector (renewables, less so infrastructure) suffering badly so this is decent timing.

Another day another share price drop, honestly when will it stop? Not just for Trig but for literally the whole F'in sector, complete shambles, we're nearly back to VIX 60 tariff tantrum time! If anyone asked me why do you bother investing? I don't think I would have an answer for them at the moment, what a joke.

This is the thing, it appears like a bargain to us private investors, but the market thinks otherwise, so as much as I would love to buy an unloved undervalued share, I have no confidence it won't get worse.

I bought around the last ex dividend date and have resisted top ups, those I did buy on ex date have been sold after the last spike. I won't sell while at these prices and will collect dividends if they continue, it can just rot along with the other infrastructure turds.

What an absolute dog! What on earth is wrong now? Literally so fed up with all these 'defensive' piles of garbage renewable trusts, all they do is go down, day after day week after week.

I do like how this share trades, normally with minimal spread and lowish volatility.

It's been hit less hard than the renewables recently, though it's discount appeals more as I simply have lost trust in the renewable ability to stop the navs from declining.

This fund has been around for over a decade and came out of the GFC, extremely solid.

I wish I could buy more but it's already around 15% of my pot.

Because certain investors want to bag the dividend by buying on ex date as they believe the share price will fall more than the market would normally and the dividend amount.

What they don't understand is whilst on a substantial discount, the discount between NAV and Share price widens.

For example 10p off a 100p nav is 10%, 10p off a 50p sp is 20%. The 50% discount gets pushed out to 55.55%.

This can't keep happening so accretion will naturally happen if held for a decent length of time whilst on a discount with dividends keep being paid.

Think of it as realised NAV being returned via a dividend each time.

Let's see what tomorrow brings, I may buy some more as the discount would have widened further as explained above.

Am I reading this right? An actual NAV that has INCREASED over the period? 🤣😂.
