We've had a steadier day today, with a nice upward finish, here's to the start of the recovery! 💪

NAV update due early next week, we might see a benefit to the recent heavy buybacks.

Nice to see it coming to life now, managed to buy some more between 76/77p this week.

The striking thing for me is the apparent decline in NAV update after update with power prices forecasts, random costs, outages and discount rates. Decay is setting in, almost like a rusting car gradually getting worse over time.

Like alot of comments on these boards these companies only work in a low cost of capital environmental to just keep the snowball rolling, cheap debt covers up so much of these and the icing on the cake is risk free rates were of no comparison. I don't see a way back unless we get back to ZIRP, which won't happen unless we see a bad recession.

The government could help by taking away the RPI/CPI uncertainty but can you really trust them to do the right thing here?

I can't see them being very good? The nav has just continued to decline.

Good time to keep topping up? Circa 10% off recent ATH.

I've recently started a position here along with DFNG also, they both appear to fit many bills and have had a great run.

Both down around 10% from their ATHs so I may buy more.

They should hold up well in a sudden invasion scenario, much the same as oil so could be a good hedge against war (which seems to be a constant theme somewhere in the world anyway).

Concentrated too, so no diversification lag.

Crypto has perked up this week, it could be because there is more liquidity, possibly sentiment has improved, who knows.

Appears like £8.36 last Friday might be the low and a great buying opportunity, early days though.

If bitcoin hits 100k (from the 80k low) it could mean it's back and up we go.

Buying when the vix is over 20 appears to be working ok, especially when it's near the 26-28 range as seen last week.

Good to see an opening comment re tackling the discount, morning bounce incoming!

This has fallen a decent amount today, deal off murmurings perhaps? HICL hasn't rocketed though.

Good timing thus far, should hopefully start the day ahead tomorrow, then we shall see.
