Yep .. subtle molecular changes when healthy cells undergo stress or groups of small sections of larger proteins present in tumours .. ie parts of gp100, TRP2, and NY-ESO-1 to name 3 used in scib1 and 2 .

Lindy has looked for over 20 years for whole proteins to use as targets for cancer therapies … Her conclusion .. there aren't any.

That's why in all scancells' technologies they only use the immunogenic fragments of proteins that are associated directly with the cancer itself, or with the mechanisms directly involved in the formation of cancers, as their targets ..

Whole proteins such a gp100, and the MAGE group of proteins just aren't specific enough from the immune systems point of view ! (again in my opinion)..

Evening Chelsea !! Sounds like your battle continues … I'd just like to say (having met you a couple of times) that I hope we get to share some good news at scancell soon ! I'd like nothing better … for you !! Its been a fascinating few years and been a pleasure to share the ups and downs with someone as committed and open with their feelings as you are !

That was an interesting deal yesterday regarding Mage A4 protein. There have been several trials using this series of melanoma associated proteins but I'm not sure any have come to anything, in fact there have been some high profile misses!

LD and her team have played with Mage A3 but I don't think they had much joy with it in an Immunobody construct.

The big issues being they don't result in ultra high avidity t-cells being produced.

I'm surprised at the size of this investment considering the stage ! $100M / preclinical, is a lot to throw at targeting Mage A4 … I wonder what LD thinks of it !? (just my opinion as ever!).

With his time (and reputation) at a premium, he must still feel its a very good ‘bet’ that immunobody will improve response rates of keytruda in the patients they select, above any other options currently known to him either pre or in the clinic !!

Its not like the trigrid v2 device is being used just by a back street lab in Georgia … Its being used by one of the largest pharmaceutical companies on the planet, and in some gold standard countries ….. !

Just had a look at the J n J trial using Trigrid V2 .. it’s now not only recruiting in Belgium, but also in Germany and the UK ! .... come on FDA pull your finger out ! Lol ...

With immunobody difinitivly increasing pd-l1 on target cells you can see why (most) Scancell shareholders are happy to watch from the stands and dip their toes in at opportune moments !?

These are the numbers that will ultimately value Scancell and its tech .. in my opinion the current market cap doesn’t even cover scib1 on its own .. as I keep saying .. good for buyers ?

I’m of the opinion that increased PR would create more volatility yet not add anything to intrinsic value .. so I’m quite happy with the ‘quiet’ model .. for now !
