Much of scancells current position and technology has been discussed here in detail thanks to regular posters like Berm and Inanaco and freshened up by some new scancell followers... it’s funny how the aim market just doesn’t like ‘quiet’

In the recent update I thought this was an interesting observation re modi1 ...

“Modi-1 is the first Moditope® vaccine and contains citrullinated peptides derived from vimentin and a-enolase. Vimentin and enolase peptides are highly expressed in triple negative breast cancer, ovarian cancer and sarcoma. Pre-clinical data suggests that Modi-1 may be effective in up to 90% of patients with triple negative breast cancer, up to 95% of patients with ovarian cancer and up to 100% of patients with sarcoma.”

Can’t remember seeing those ‘predictions’ for modi1 before ?

Scancell only needs to hit one target .... how many shots are now being lined up ? And imagine if they hit multiple ?.

Have you ever seen anywhere a Phase 3 trial on the back of the results from a phase 2 trial in 7 patients ? (All of whom died within the expected window for their condition)?

To raise funds for such a trial would be very difficult in my opinion..

It's quiet because there isn't much to say ..

We know reasons for the delays .. Would it have been better to press ahead using ichors old device? Or throw moditope into trials before Lindy discovered the adjuvant, only to have to start new trials at a later date to better their initial results? Sounds expensive ?

I'm looking forward to hearing more about the new glycan technology and how it fits with scancells other platforms ..

Let's all go to the agm and have a good moan ... That will do our investments the world of good eh! (As I'm waiting for my next chunky top up, that'd work for me!) ..

Great news indeed for James P. Allison ! Been following the godfather of immunotherapy for years and I think this recognition is well deserved.

He has no direct connection with scancell but his Colleague Jedd Wolchok (co developer of ipilimumab, aka Yervoy) is now teaming up with Lindy and the team in project Blueprint.

I just don't get his/her point ?? The table is a holistic overview of many individuals and companies research over decades ! Lindy and her team have read a lot of books, articles and research publications to come up with that article .. they wouldn't have needed to buy anything 'co-receptor' wise??

Nom - look at the very long list of references at the end of the article ! Lindy understands and knows her stuff in my opinion ... a very well read lady !

Cells use their receptors (and matching ligands) to communicate. They don't come from anywhere .. They are already there. Scientists have manipulated these 'signalling pathways' to alter the immune systems' response, such as pd1 / pd-l1 for instance ..

With Nom posting interesting links on protein folding and degradation recently, both of which are relevant to scancell, and certainly add to my already considerable confidence ... I'm sure there must be a tenuous link somewhere but further explaination would be welcomed by me on this one !??

The cruk Grand Challenge will I believe result in up to 4 'winners' .. as project blueprint is the only cancer vaccine bid I don't think there will be any risk of competition from the other potential 'winners' ..

Do you remember a slide RG presented at an AGM a few years ago depicting the value of deals done against stage of development ? .. With the recent flurry of activity exemplifying this, makes you wonder just how big a deal Scancell is now seemingly holding out for !!

The numbers stumped up for untrailled 'promising' technology is increasingly eyewatering !! Scancell still hasn't blinked ... Yet!

Inanaco .. yes, it's an interesting deal that value wise .. and even more so the date ! 2015 .. now if all that was going very well, one would hardly be adding recent collaborations like the one with scancell to the mix !!??

Wonder how it's going in their laboratorys with scancells modified epitopes !!?

Lots to look forward to at scancell in my opinion !
