Scrodingers - I haven’t heard anyone give promises of mutibaggers. Most bulls just claim that at the current tiny valuation immupharma looks very attractive risk/reward. The thing that’s hard to believe is that so many cynics here find this seemingly inoffensive statement so absurd (to the point of obsession)… To believe the fundamentals are a fantasy seems almost equally delusional to claiming things are a certainty, IMO

The mechanical selling by Lanstead is your friend, not your enemy. And I made exactly this point to lollywally about this time last year when the shares were sub 2p… If it wasn’t for Lanstead selling you probably would not have the opportunity to buy a story with this much potential at these levels… Let’s see if I am right all over again. I held the shares during the last phase 3 when TM was Chair, and the price rose to 180p+. Holders had every opportunity at that time to take an attractive profit if they chose to do so - it was entirely in their hands - and many did. GLA

Assuming they had got $1bn for the US schools businesss, that suggests a £300m miss or about 50p per share. But now imagine we add back that 50p and get to 84p now, and the bus business was sold at a billion. How many of you would now be buying at 84p? I suspect quite a few. The EV calculation is the same. 34p at $600m sale price. 84p at $1bn sale price

Having said that, I also believe there is probably more upside than downside from here

The market isn’t pricing the other profitable business as only worth £200m. It is pricing £200m plus about £1Bn of debt

Where do they get the $608m valuation from included in the headline??? $375m upfront plus $70m potential earn out = around $450m… clear as mud!!

I tend to agree fishbone. Perhaps the lenders got on their backs and management had no choice. But if they did have a choice, this is an awful transaction. It would have been better for them to wait and try and turn US schools around further, and get a better price. Surely we all would have preferred that, than locking in this terrible price. But again, perhaps they didn’t have a choice

I don’t defend all things IMM, morri. I simply recognise that with a sub £20m valuation an awful lot of scepticism is already priced in. Those who prefer greater certainty could perhaps look at AZN or GSK, or some nice index linked gilts… GLA and don’t forget DYOR
