If only..

I'm a long term holder, but only in the period since C19 hit.

Previous to this, I understand Synairgen's main aim was working towards tackling COPD / Asthma etc. What stage did they get to on this research? Did this show promise?
If so, this is clearly a huge market in addition to Covid 19, so any takeover would have to take this into account I'd have thought.

I'm not sure what they mean by "key results" - I would assume the sub-group/deep dive analysis? Whatever, these results must show some promise for Synairgen to have been selected from this "fairly long list" of companies who would likely give their right arm to be able to present in such an influential conference...

I actually found the floorplan quite enlightening...I mean, Synairgen within smiling distance of "we've got billions to spend on acquisitions and takeovers in 2022" Pfizer? What could possibly go wrong?

Forgive my sarcasm and cynicism :-) Hopefully if Synairgen do indeed get good data they will avail themselves of this opportunity in the best way they can, with a firm target of commercialisation sooner rather than later.

Are any of those 12 people commercial bods from big pharmas with over-flowing wallets ready to invest in Synairgen shortly after hearing about their stellar world-beating results?

...or are they all academics who will waffle on about every single nuance of the trials, using big words none of us have ever seen let alone can pronounce?

....and if it's a major new POSITIVE development can this please be adequately reflected in an RNS and subsequent presentations, rather than the usual ultra-restrained, underwhelming rubbish we've had so far.

Great find Liam and, as you say, a lot of nuggets which directly apply to Synairgen. Kind of reconciles how the overwhelming body of evidence in favour of Interferon Beta could still result in a p value of >0.05 during trials...even without taking into account the standard of care "goalposts" changing.

...I wonder if we will find out more about the company's future during this "general company update" than we will be able to glean from any presentation at the ATS, if it's only 13 minutes long? Certainly the data from Sprinter, ACTIV2 etc will give us a clue as to the *possible* opportunities and direction for the company, but it won't necessarily confirm the actual route the company will take.

Andy - how can you be so sure that there wouldn't be an RNS on a Tuesday?

Agree with a lot of that Manifesto...although it doesn't look like Ray Jordan has been helping with the RNSs :-P

You're right that EUAs and orders are the ultimate thing that would get the price moving...let's hope that if Mr Jordan is still on board he can help us with that...

As already stated, this RNS is nothing earth-shattering, but still very welcome.

I see it as a bit of ground-work ready for next months' conference...a bit of a "we're still here" sort of thing to get Synairgen back in peoples' minds. And I like that they say that "Results from the SPRINTER trial will be presented at ATS 2022 in May" rather than mentioning the less than positive announcement we had in February.

More positive stuff to follow hopefully. GLA.

I have wondered whether Ray Jordans partnership with Synairgen ever got off the ground. Looking at his history and CV he looks/looked to be a great asset to have as part of the team.

Lets hope if we do get to an amazing 50%+ figure and/or get findings that are "important milestones in the understanding and treatment options for Covid" that these facts are communicated effectively to the world.

In other words, time for Ms Clarke, Mr Henning and the whole Synairgen team to show us what they're made of and really start selling themselves and their product. This is no time for reservedness, reticence and restraint. Be enthusiatic, bullish and confident. Show the world how important and indespensable this product is. If results are excellent, don't squander the chance and the potential of the drug you've worked so hard on.

If there are gems in the Sprinter and Activ trials I would like to think that the TO price would be far north of £1, but who knows.
