Genuine question: what pressure could the likes of Polygon and major shareholders apply and how would they usually do this? (charge into RMs office banging the table? "Quiet" word on the golf course?)

A confirmatory post application trial sounds like a good possible route...certainly better than "no application, trials ad nauseum" option. Can someone please let Synairgen know?

At the very least, it's clear that the market is not overly impressed by news without a clear plan. So, what's the plan? What's the vision? We need a clear roadmap to commercialisation. It's time for Synairgen to "5hit or get off the pot" and take the steps to become a company with a product finally out there saving lives.

Hopefully we will get some clarity with the "general company update" next Wednesday...but I'm not holding my breath.

Just ref your point 1 - bear in mind that the 70% reduction was on top of standard of care, so very good indeed. To me SNG001 should be the new SOC now!! I guess price may be a factor in this ever happening, but at least we know it does have a place in the hospital setting for certain subgroups.

I tend to agree trading4good. I think we may learn more on the 25th when Synairgen issue the FY2021 financial results (wonder what they will look like...) and general company update.

I largely agree with the two Docs.

I've been mulling this over - as most no doubt have - and the most likely scenario I see is that there will some interesting data from the Sprinter data, possibly even some which could be deemed as very positive...I just can't see anything truly pant-wettingly groundbreaking being announced, that would prompt EUAs, takeover talk etc.

I'm a LTH, deep in the hole, so maybe this is just a "once bitten, twice shy" overcautiousness, but I think if there was anything truly stellar it would have been announced by now.

That said, the great man himself (RM) did say "trust us" in his latest interview, so you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Previous to this, I understand Synairgen's main aim was working towards tackling COPD / Asthma etc. What stage did they get to on this research? Did this show promise?
If so, this is clearly a huge market in addition to Covid 19, so any takeover would have to take this into account I'd have thought.

ACTIV2, I don't know why why topline data couldn't have been released with or shortly after the "progression to P3" announcement at least, but yes, it's really out of Synairgen's control. I presume when we do eventually get the data (hopefully in the next few weeks, as previously indicated) it will be of suitable detail for Synairgen to drill down to certain sub-groups if necessary.

With SPRINTER, there will be ways and means to "officially" stay within the rules, whilst still gleaning useful insight from the data...hopefully positive stuff, of course!!
The wording of the 5th April ATS Conference RNS: "The selection of SNG001 into the Clinical Trials Symposium session follows a pre-evaluation of key results by an International Conference Committee" does make me wonder what exactly this "pre-evaluation" was and what "key results" they are referring to...

Synairgen are still waiting on Activ2 P2 data, and it's been the best part of 7 months since it was announced they were progressing to P3. All of these analysts must have old, slow computers.

There was an RNS, a week after this thread was started.

Was just about to post something similar - the little bits of information found by members are interesting and gratefully received but if it's not in an RNS, it's largely irrelevant to the SP. And there's no "secret club" who have access to anything more than us plebs on here know or could find out.
