People getting a little confused with the find raise versus a “deal” and the need for money.
It is highly unlikely that when any deal is announced, it will mean an immediate payment to NFX. There will always be a lead time of at least a couple of months before “up front” or “milestone” payments are made.

The placing was done done to fast track NXP002. The only reason this was done was because the Chinese payment is effectively being renegotiate (upwards to a bigger deal) and has come in later than anticipated.

So, the only thing that could have prevented the placing would have been Chinese payment. All other potential deals and discussions are totally separate, unconnected to immediate finance (and therefore NXP002) and could therefore drop at any time.

This is as good an RNS as I’ve seen imo.

Rule No 1 - NEVER put positive news in with a placing RNS (strategic or otherwise). It gets diluted, overlooked and ultimately wasted. There has obviously been an issue with the Chinese payment. This small placing takes that issue off the table and allows NFX to negotiate from a position of strength.

Today’s RNS is An excellent update with lots of clues as to what NFX are working on (near and medium term) but without detail or specifics to get really excited about, and without the numbers attached that will move the Share Price.
That stuff comes later. NFX are working on multiple projects and in discussions with dozens of potential partners, some of which are most probably close to, if not already completed.
I now expect a flow of news and updates on each one that will take the Share Price to a whole new level over the next few months.

I was under the impression thresholds only needed to be notified upon once the seller had completed their sale? i.e. someone selling down from a 20% stake, need only notify the market once they have either finished selling, or fallen below 3%.
Maybe I’m wrong?

We defo don’t want any news until this seller is finished, that’s for sure.

Not assuming any kind of “role” Mr Jinx, I’m merely stating the obvious. The three of you (plus one other whose name I forget and can’t be bothered looking back for) have been posting the same muck on here for as far back as I care to remember. You’re like a gang of sulking 10 year old bullies who’ve had their toys taken away.
Every time someone comes on here and posts something positive, you all start with same old rubbish.

None of you have ever (as far as I can see or recollect) added any valued research of any kind. If you want out, get out (if you’re actually even in) and take the hit, or just say nothing and do yourselves and everyone else a favour.

It’s been a while since I looked in here. Not much has changed. Aside from the SP being roughly where it was last time I looked, the usual loonies are still here.
MrJinx, Howler1664 and Snott, still spending every waking hour ****ging off those who actually provide some meaningful info, as well as a CEO and Company that they are allegedly invested in. Passing it off as advice to poor unsuspecting investors who “don’t know what they’re getting into” lol.

Howler1664 and MrJinx still looking for that elusive exit strategy yada yada yada. They went through all this “10p and I’m out of here” the last time and didn’t take it when it was on offer lol.

I suggest any “advice” from the grumpy old men is taken with a large bag of salt.

I have to admit I’m slightly surprised that we still appear to have a ‘distressed’ seller (assuming the majority of reported sells ARE actually sells). On recent daily volumes of have expected anyone who wanted out, to be out by now.
However, the longer this goes on, the less they will have left to sell into news when it comes.
Time lag on news may be a blessing in disguise imo.
