The number of vehicles is hard to estimate from the km data as it varies by day of the week and holidays. What is clear is that those Countries who contribute to the 2pm total km figure each day are typically 1million km more than the am figure over a full week. I doubt this is Australia and New Zealand but could be wrong if they are working a full 24 hours on long haul.

My figures indicate the average rate per day over a full month has increased from 3.5m to 5.1m km from January to now. The weekend figures pulls everything down.

Looking at Waymo it seems they announced that they were going to start testing trucks again 29th May .

On Monday 10th June.( so 10 days after press coverage) SM issue the RNS about Guardian BdMS.

Based on an initial purchase of A$2.2M, Guardian BdMS is expected to be installed into a significant portion of the self-driving car company's fleet over the coming months, with an option for follow-on purchases under the agreement.

Looking back at the words in the RNS. Could this read Waymo the self-driving car company have agreed to pay A$2.2M to install Guardian BdMS into a significant proportion of Waymo self driving trucks as they recommence testing.

But it could be in the Waymo trucks not cars !!

Could this be SM tech giving the best possible safety features?

London, UK: DHL Supply Chain is adding 1,000 new vehicles to its UK fleet this year – including multi temperature-controlled vehicles.

The £90m spend also includes tractor units, as well as specialised rigids. All the vehicles have cameras, Microlise telematics and the latest engine technology. A number of the vehicles will run on liquefied natural gas.

Ian Clough, managing director, Network Logistics and Transport, UK and Ireland, DHL Supply Chain said: “Not only are we investing in our infrastructure to support our growth, but to signal our confidence in the contract logistics market in the UK.

I think at the time the value was thought to be low, this could explain why if its correct

Or the other Cameras monitor where people are looking outside the car and for how long. Linking this information to a digital map, you get a text on your phone or become a target for adverts. I think this will justify a big valuation on SM as its all added value to the basic product.

2020 - Your valuation includes DMS in cars but do we not need to add the number of units to be added in trucks from new, rather than the current retro fits and do i remember that the timescale on trucks was shorter than cars ?
Are trucks not likely to double the potential and have a higher value as DMS can generate a financial payback through lower insurance premiums , less accidents and monitoring costs ?
