The results from our home trial does help target those who will get the best out of SNG in the home setting, i.e. the breathless levels.

ACTIV-2 is constantly monitored, and they are clever chaps over there (despite the obvious!). I'm sure they have factored our results in and may well have modified their selection criteria with our data in mind. You might find it has a better result than ours!

It's basically a horse race, the 'nearology plays' are likely to be more volatile and may (from time to time) produce large %age swings either way!

The starting gun went off some two years ago with HAV. GGP was straight out of the gate, the other riders were still weighing in and were well late in starting. GGP, with (how many) ?Km of drills done, onsite infrastructure underway, box cut done, decline started, MRE done and PFS due soon is cruising down the back straight with no one coming up behind.

I get what you are saying @Barry, and don't disagree. So our leaders do need to come up with something that has the correct oversight/peer review/whatever to make sure incompetence doesn't get enough of a foothold. Potential corruption can be addressed with complete transparency. Will it work or not? Who knows?

Don't forget at the very start of this pandemic our more sensible people were thrown way off course by the orange man and his fanatical promotion of HCQ. Incompetence and corruption at the highest level (along with his effective neutering of the US press) is something very difficult to avoid!

I doubt they can do anything about the selection criteria for which drug / treatment gets priority. Not something you can mandate in advance of a future pandemic when you don't know what pathogen the pandemic will have!

It will be more about setting up the systems to (hopefully) make the right decisions in the future. It would be nice to see something on stockpiling anti virals, I always hopeful.
