RE: Reasons to be cheerful12 Jul 2021 13:00
That is a little bit of a mischaracterisation, the PFS is not being limited to 4.2MOz. It is concentrating on the same footprint that the initial MRE used. This following a lot more infill drilling in those areas. This may (or may not) clarify the grades within the MRE which may (or may no) increase the 4.2 number.
However, that is only part of the PFS. This will be a feasability study and should give us a good idea of timescales and how much ore (and of what grades) are going to mined first. It will also give us some idea of the overall economics with a view to what the AISC may be.
This will need to be read in the context of any step out drilling with a view to potential upgrades later down the line.
Basically, the 4.2 - vs the AISC vs annual throughput is the bit to focus on, i.e If it's going to cost $1000 to dig out 1oz vs $200 to dig out 1oz. would produce two very different results.
