So here I am stretched out on the sofa with a laptop, watching Apollo 13 on the TV (cracking film), discussing battery powered cars with people I've never met while all looking for gold on the other side of the planet with the use of satellite photography in enough detail to identify a small drilling rig. Wow, I mean WOW. Technology has moved on so much in my short 60 years (so far).

Spy - go for the EV, play with it, have fun with it. You'll change in a few years for something much better as technology moves on.

Tom Hanks just had a line about getting a computer small enough to fit in a room and I have more computing power here on my lap than the Apollo team could only dream of.

I know later on in the film they will be trying to work out how to restart the computer (without which they will all die) with only a handful of battery power amps. We have just been talking about 300 mile range for an EV and my watch has more computing power than they had on Apollo 13.

All this within one lifetime. Isn't life fun guys!

That's why I'm looking at an EV for normal use, and just hire something for longer trips. Likely cheaper overall and you leave the hire company with all the problems. EVs are fairly easy to maintain and service.

They make sense if you can manage enough charging. All a bit sparse here in the sticks so home charging is essential.
I'm keeping a mileage and time diary for a couple of months to see if I can cope, stress free. Particularly in winter. There should be a fair few bargains about as dealers start to open up again.

A friend has one in the village. Renault.

They have a charger point at home, but could only go to the max 7Kw which means an 8 hour charge. The 22Kw needs a three phase supply. You need to factor in the cost of installing a charging point.

Their obsession is charging, they have worked out where all the local charge points are. They head out every morning to have a coffee in the local town next to a fast charge point. So you need to factor in time, coffee and bladder capacity to make it work.

I'm thinking of changing over too. It's fine if you can manage enough charge for your use. I will be fine for all the local driving I do and can simply hire something for longer trips, only two or three times a year so cost effective. Might be tricky for commuting, unless you have fast charging available at/near work.

Summer is fine, but winter range is much reduced. Heater plus more use of headlamps etc do make a difference.

That 678 is the catch 22 question. If they can show a reasonable rate of return on equity to their shareholders, then funding will not be a problem. On the other side, we (GGP) may look at that return as much more valuable (minimal capex for us to find) producing a better return.

Of course he does. Any good CEO wants to know what his shareholders are thinking. The institutions will tell him directly, but a really good CEO will find a way to monitor/engage with the movers, shakers and influencers amongst his PIs.

There are many scenarios for GH to look at. Most will leave GGP to continue on as an explorer. Even better with an income stream from HAV. This can be done with a separate company or a royalty deal or keep the JV as it is or, or, or.....

If Scally does prove up (or even only parts of it) there will be the opportunity to renegotiate the whole arrangement and move on to other prospects. To my mind, selling of Hav completely will destroy a potential revenue stream and limit negotiations for Scally etc in the future.

Interesting document, littered with references to 'highly prospective'.

Of great comfort to me, and this crops up in reports from other prospectors in the area, is that GGP along with Havieron get referenced. Not only that, but we get referenced alongside both Telfer and Winu.

Now, if I was in marketing, a small company (circa 300m cap) continually gets the same billing as the two relative giants in the same area (from both the geographic and industry perspectives), Well - that is real marketing gold. It does illustrate that we have something big, really big, here.

I put great faith in GH and his team to realise the full shareholder value. I'm sorry, but all the 'fag packet' calculations/aspirations on here do not float anything for me. There are many routes GH can go down, but I suspect a best route will involve retaining as much a HAV as we can providing the positive cashflow needed to unlock the full GGP story. A much longer play than the 20p by year end and buy a house/car plans. Just imagine what can be achieved once this pot has marinaded for a good five years (with reasonable dividends along the way too)!

The end game is not even on the horizon yet. HAV is just the beginning of a long story. Lots more targets in Scally to drill and prove up, followed by all the others and who knows when and where!

Much like HAV itself, the endgame is 'open to the west'.

Hav is likely too far inland to have any problems, but I guess we can expect some cloud cover for the next PaddySat.....

With automation able to go deeper than before, doesn't that allow for an increased valuation and life for Hav?
