Future, For what it's worth - many years ago I had an unexpected massive bonus. I did pay off the mortgage. Boring, but it was the best thing I ever did. I lost the need for income to service a mortgage which gave me great freedom. The monthly savings went into pension and ISA's.

Highly unlikely that this is something for us to worry about. Ore has been toll processed by most plants/companies the world over, I'm sure there will be an industry standard (or understanding) of how this is done. Normal practice, and I sure all wrinkles have been ironed out long ago.

Trying to come up with any real value before we have seen a good few core samples from these promising targets is not at all sensible.

Havieron will be the cash generator which will allow us to unlock the full value over time.

Ah, 1gandhi - on the nose there. A report done by people who know a lot more than we do. I don't have the report, but you'd need to read it in full to understand what their assumptions (and the reasons why) they have made. This is how you can decide the true number you are looking for. The 12.9, by definition, will be conservative and relates to the a target share price. If you want to work out a takeover value - a different set of assumptions will be needed.

Also, almost without exception, all these calculations focus on the gold only.
The copper content is substantial and produces a credit that reduces the AISC. This needs to be stripped out in the original calculations and added back using Hav's copper content. Then you must also count the income from the copper as well.

All there fag packet calculations are misleading and use guestimates of information which is out of date (NCM/GGP have up to date drill info, we only have what has been released).

If you go to Newcrest's website, you will see that the Telfer AISC is $1253.
Where your $700 comes from is anyone's guess!
BUT, the Telfer number is based off a grade of somewhere below1.5g/t.
We are told that our ore is a grade 10 times better, which implies the AISC will come down to $125.3
Then again, when you look as the efficiencies of NCM's latest mining techniques, they bring down Cadia's AISC to around $130.
Pick a number, play with it and ignore it. I can guarantee that whatever you or I come up with will be way off.

Someone somewhere has a massive hard on for GGP, not only that he is in control of the cash to match. He must be suffering from bad case of Blue Ball Syndrome to go all in with such a bullish move before the weekend.

What does he know that we don't?

Monday will be interesting, MMs will be after stock and our hero may well be after the balance to his 12m order. All after the weekend when those that keep in touch with the markets will have had time to wake up to reality.
