It'll be quite a while before the rigs become available. 60km drilled so far with another 80km planned. Even when that is done and decline is well underway continual drilling to check for any further extensions will be needed. Two years minimum before any existing ones are free.

A good mate might say 'that's a silly question". Or he could say something like "go to xxxx.com they know what they are talking about. Or "nothing to do with me mate, try asking your bank/hmrc/cab/xxxx"

With a bit of luck, they may know more than than the more obvious sources of information. HMRC and my bank's investment helpline can go........

We all implore people to DYOR. Investing basics, obviously. But if they can't even find out from the proper sources about basic tax information, then there is something seriously wrong.

I seriously worry about some people these days! Ffs, the HMRC website has all the information you need about ISAs and all other things tax.

There are also lots of useful other sites you can easily find, not least your own bank's website.

Why you would even think of asking tax advise from a bunch of strangers on a forum such as this is beyond me!

They have a fine line to tread I think. The mining license needs some documentation, I thought the MRE or something similar is needed for this. So SB may need to produce one earlier than he wants/needs vs share value?

If he delays for a better MRE, then mining license will be delayed (unless there is an interim report he can use). It sounds like he wants to get underground ASAP, so........

If Newcrest want 145m shares, they can buy them? A cosy deal for such a large number may raise a few eyebrows, may infringe a rule or two somewhere and may be detremental to all the other shareholders.

I am easily confused, sorry. But what if Pacific didn't want to sell them? Maybe they would just want to sell some occasionally at best price in the market?
How does Newcrest have a say in how Pacific disposes of their share, assuming they (pacific) want to?

It's called company management by hindsight. I so wish it were possible. GH made one hell of great deal, with the correct partner. Without it we would be sitting an a pile of dust with no idea of what is down there.
