It is highly likely that NCM have a sort of rolling internal MRE, updated as each drill result is received by them. They will also have a good idea of how the feasability study will look. They have to be working off some credible management data to expand the camp and to commit to 80,000m more drilling.

NCM shareholders would be a bit miffed it their board didn't act on their internal information.

This is huge and represents an impressive increase in investment in moving this forward.

Think about what you need to house 250 people in those conditions. Provision of water, aircon, fresh fruit and veg, catering, sewage disposal, laundry, etc. etc. The list goes on and on. The backup and infrastructure required to house 250 people in that location is massive.

This, guys, is one very large vote of confidence by NCM.

An offer? from whom? On what basis/valuation?

RE Hav - need MRE / PFS before any potential value can be arrived at.
RE all other assets - need a few drill results to start with.

An offer is a long way off. It's not just about share price - VALUE is key and what our board can recommend to shareholders if a bid arrives. Without having a true idea of value (MRE for Hav etc.) nothing other than a stupidly high predative offer (£3 may do it!) can be agreed. Remember whoever makes an offer needs to justify to their shareholders why they believe we are worth it.

If you really think about it, all the wish list buyout conversations on here are moth moot and unrealistic. Nothing will happen until there is more meat on the bones. TIME, TIME, TIME and quite a lot of it too.

My thoughts on GGP vs others in the area is very simplistic.

Yes, anyone else (within trucking distance of Telfer) can discover something interesting, but GGP are so far ahead with our JV, so much has been invested by NCM, it is odds on that Hav will go to mine before anything else. Any other discoveries will have long lead time to prove up and produce, whereas we are so far ahead of the game. Scally will likely jump in front of anyone else as well, NCM are more likely to work with an existing partner that they are happy with first. Only our deal looks likely to leverage the substantially reduced CAPEX that Telfer gives us.

Yes, there may be other discoveries, with consequent spikes in price, but the value will eventually drift to GGP/NCM. They may present some interesting takeover targets for us/NCM in 5 years or so too!

I have some cash, all sorts of others, but not banks, not travel, not property (especially not retail). Trying to keep more away from the US, territory wise!
