Part 1

Some very interesting posts in here yesterday. All studies are pointing towards the over-activation of the immune system through the upregulation of anaphylatoxins C5a and C3a, which in turn downregulate the body's natural production of interferon beta-1a, as the main driver behind 'long covid' and higher mortality outcomes.

Very importantly - It would seem that our 'caterpillar drug' has yet another leg to stand on as a PREVENTATIVE drug given to people, and high risk groups BEFORE a Covid-19 infection.

Think of it as a natural 'vaccine' without the adverse side effects or the over-activation of the immune system.

Andreas Wack, immunologist at the Francis Crick Institute says:

"Every study in every species has shown that if you induce interferons before [a] virus comes in, the virus loses”. “The earlier you can give it, the better, and the best thing you can do is to give it before the virus is there.”

The science certainly backs it up as looking into the 'bat model' it shows that bats remain unaffected by coronavirus due to their natural high levels of interferon beta-1a. If you could illicit the same levels of interferon beta-1a in humans - particularly those with lower interferon beta-1a levels - the virus would be stopped before it was even able to take hold.

I have read several recent papers recently, and discussed it at work, showing that this preventative drug measure with interferon beta-1a for Covid-19 is being looked at as the PRIMARY prevention method towards protecting high risk groups. This opens up a whole new market for SNG001 as it is the superior bioavailable form of interferon beta-1a with fewest side effects. And SNG001 is the only safe preventative therapeutic that can be given to high risk groups, and it can be administered at home for people in insolation. Unlike IV interferon beta-1a, SNG001 is also proven to work extremely well with steroids. Not to mention it is also patented for use with steroids.

The fact that it can be used before infection as a 'vaccine' towards Covid-19, especially in high risk groups or people unable or the growing number of people unwilling to get a vaccine, is incredibly unique and puts SNG001 in a market of it's own.

SNG001 just became a lot more valuable than any of us thought. We are now talking about a drug that can be used BEFORE, in the beginning, during with dexamethasone and remdesvir, and after infection to treat and heal the effects of 'long covid'.

@computer909. That statement is directly false. I think you've completely misunderstood MAP and the need for therapeutics in this pandemic. Europe is in a rather bit of trouble and I have no doubt it will and is being used. Let's just wait for the next update rather than arguing.

@gkb47. There has been an official publication that it is on the market. Read the RNS. It can be requested by any doctor or hospital through the MAP deal. So it is on the market. And Clinigen inform health personnel about any new treatment. I know that because I've seen it plenty of times.

You can get SNG001 through a doctor via the MAP deal with Clinigen. The doctor just needs to fill in plenty of paperwork. When it is fully approved it can be used without the extra paperwork.

SNG001 is available through any doctor who requests it through ths MAP with Clinigen. Synairgen are working on the approval which would make it widely available without the extra paperwork.

@gkb47. It's on a managed access program or MAP. It makes a drug market available before approval. So it is on the market. And with that we get safety data and income.

@gkb47. With all due respect - the idea that others are 'pulling ahead' is misleading. We have received several updates in the last 2 months which have all been positive and shows that Synairgen are working hard. We have been told that they are also in advanced talks for approval. This could happen any day. Again this virus isn't going anywhere and no one treatment could be used on everyone so there will be a large market for SNG001 regardless. SNG001 is on the market now as well so it is ahead of other treatments in development.

When it comes to Governments and vaccines most governments, including the UK, said there would be a vaccine fully available by September. I certainly don't trust what any politician says regarding vaccines or treatment as it is just smoke for their own political agendas.

The earliest a vaccine will be available for the most critical people will be Q2 2021.

SNG001 is on the market now. And there will certainly be plenty of updates between now and the 15th.

Time isn't running out, gkb47. The pandemic is only getting worse and the need for treatment, of any kind, is in high demand. And that demand will only increase. SNG001 will have an enormous market regardless of other therapeutics, vaccines, or therapies. It is the only treatment for 'long covid' as well. We are only a few days away from some very big updates on the 15th that will certainly give a clearer view of the near future.

Glad to answer your questions, Oxford12. The better informed we are the easier it will be to fight the virus and ignore the 'alternative facts' crowd so happy to play a small part in that. More and more people are starting to see the same things now as several studies confirming the negative effects of antibodies against COVID-19 and long covid are coming to light.

I think we should have pmjh as PM. We could certainly do with a PM who is able to research the latest and best treatments :)

The tests could be used to target people and give them the right treatment like SNG001. But not as a tool to give people the 'all clear' because that simply isn't the case with this virus. Sadly, people tend to think that the antibodies will keep them safe when the truth is quiet the opposite.

Let's also not forget that the Health Secretary of the UK mentioned Synairgen in Parliament. Kind of relevant I would think.

@Oxford12. Yes, the negative effects of antibodies relates to Lilly's treatment as well. Sadly, it's extremely common for medication to only treat certain symptoms of a disease rather than the cause and in fact bring worse effects than the actual disease itself. Just have a look into statins to see that.

The science shows that antibodies against COVID-19 are in effect just as bad as the disease. The immune effects against COVID-19 also wear off after 2-3 months so you will be able to be reinfectioned while already having 'long covid' which is why a worse disease effect is being seen in reinfections. It does also mean that antibody tests are pretty much useless when it comes to reopening the country. There is nothing long term positive to have antibodies towards Covid-19 and they won't stop a reinfection.

Part 5.

So in conclusion: the best treatment available is SNG001. It will be in demand regardless of vaccines or other therapeutics. It is ready for the next pandemics, and ready to treat a whole host of other illnesses. I don't say that because I'm here - I could easily walk away from this now with a very healthy profit but I choose to stay based on cold hard facts rather than the words of a rampers or derampers. Drown out the noise that other people bring with fact. I wouldn't stay if I didn't believe in this.

The last two months have brought with it several big updates from the company with the successful COPD results, updated patents including for use with steroids which again is incredible, the partnership with Numis, the MAP deal with Clinigen etc. And now we have a whole host of results due by the 15th of this month which is days away.

So use the facts to make your decision to stay or leave. Don't listen to the lies of the derampers or rampers. That's all I want to accomplish with this. To give you the tools to make an informed decision rather one based on 'alternative facts'.

Part 4.

Other therapeutics:

There are several other therapeutics in development against COVID-19, however, as previous discussed, most of these are antibody therapies which will trigger the same over-activation of your immune system leading to 'long covid'. And the immune effects against the virus are short lived meaning you are just damaging yourself without any long term positive effects. Another problem with antibody therapy is the production ability. It's costly and completely unable to keep up with the need. Especially at the rate this virus is spreading. The world will need a lot of treatment so SNG001 will always be in demand regardless of vaccines or other therapeutics.

Part 3.

The virus:

From a clinical view this virus is 'perfect'. It doesn't need to get weaker or stronger which is why it is staying with the same genomic build. It causes the same over-activation response of your immune system and organ damage regardless of the severity of your symptoms. Some of the worst cases seen have in fact been with otherwise healthy patients with the lowest viral load. One of It's greatest strengths is that it doesn't kill everyone it infects. Instead it spreads it's damaging effects and essentially gives it's host an autoimmune disease which slowly debilitates you by causing your own body to do the damage known as 'long covid'. And SNG001 is the only drug available to treat it because 'long covid' is only able to take place because of a suppression of your body's production of interferon beta-1a.

The Spanish Flu died out because it killed too quickly. Covid-19, however, does not, so it won't die out on it's own. It's simply too effective at what it does to die out. To add to that we are heading into flu season. It has been shown that if you were to get Covid-19 and the flu you stand a 6 times higher chance of dying and don't even get me started on the detrimental effects caused by your immune system in overdrive.

Part 2.

Vaccines:

The same over-activation of your immune system, as seen with antibody therapy, is seen with vaccines against COVID-19. You are by all intents and purposes giving yourself 'long covid' with both antibody therapy and vaccines. I strongly believe in vaccines - just not against this virus from the data I've seen and posted on this board. I still haven't met one health worker who is willing to take a vaccine against COVID-19 because they see the same sheer insanity of getting a rushed vaccine without the 3-5 years of safety data needed. Interferon beta-1a has about 40 years worth. In a rather ironic twist it would seem that if you get a vaccine against COVID-19 you will need SNG001 to recover from the vaccine.

Even so, just looking at vaccines; according to the director of the Serum Institute - who will be producing most of the vaccines under development - they will not be widely available until 2024. They are not a silver bullet. And they will not end this pandemic.

They may even make it worse.

Because of the short lived immune effects from a vaccine against COVID-19 you would need two shots a year. It would take 8000 medically fitted jumbo jets to distribute enough vaccine to get anywhere near that. There are not even 8000 active jumbo jets on the planet. Let alone medically fitted ones.

Another problem with vaccines against COVID-19 is the public resistance against them. Even in a country like Norway for example, which has always been considered 'highly compliant' towards use of vaccines, 40% of the population are against getting a Covid-19 vaccine. Add to that the people who can't get a vaccine due to medical issues and you end up with a percentage far below the needed for 'herd immunity'. Which in itself has already been proven not to work with this virus.

The FDA have also just yesterday added new stricter guidelines for approval of a vaccine which will push the development of a vaccine back several months. Dr Fauci has also stated that even if two-thirds of Americans were to get a vaccine with a 75% efficiency it would still not be enough for 'herd immunity'. Current estimates puts the vaccine efficiency at around 30%.
