I like to see James Wakefield leave and someone with better business ability to come in and grow this company , someone like the chap who came in at Rolls Royce and transformed it and made their shareholders absolutely happy with their investment.

From what I see, Yourgene is basically the main business arm of Novacyt, hence why Yourgene staff are replacing the previous Novacyt regime. Personally , I don't think the previous R&D , Paul Oladimeji did anything to win those big contracts .

This guy leaving Novacyt , what does it mean ? Was he pushed out or he jumped ship ? Thoughts anyone ?

Hi CS , who do you think is at blame for Novacyt's strategy ? James Wakefield ? He seems the one person who has been there at board level since 2020 following winning Covid-19 contracts and has seen off two CEO's and installed another in interim basis . I am so heavily invested in this share that i want Novacyt to succeed and become a mid cap company , which was promised by Graham Mullis in his interview in October 2020

... not only private investors will want to buy novacyt shares , but crucially institutional investors will come and rocket the share price .

PI100 , I believe £3+ is realistic when Novacyt win the case . It will bring confidence to private investors who will see Novacyt as a company that will ' grow ' following more acquisitions . I agree the BODs are not great , but hopefully with the win of DHSC case they will be replaced by fresher , more energetic , and dynamic BODs.

It would be just wonderful , we wake up , and have a RNS , that causes the SP to rocket to £3 at 8am .

I put my bet and say Novacyt will win the case , its a no brainer and they will have cash £130M+ for further acquisitions . I advise anyone to invest here now . The evidence is very strong for Novacyt to win .

My thinking is that the BOD are 100% sure they will win the case and be awarded full amount of money claimed as well as interest added . Why else would the BOD leave it so late and jeopardize bankruptcy of the business ? Around 250 people are employed by Novacyt and the Judge will have to consider his verdict seriously , will he really want these people to lose their jobs: I think this will go to court unless the DHSC back down .

CaptainSwag , I agree . It's clear the BOD do not care about shareholders . The question is when will it be when they actually need shareholders ? The only reason I can think of is when they need to raise cash . But let's hope they don't ever need to raise cash as they will have enough.

It looks like the usual silence from BOD from Novacyt until around April 17th 2024 . And they only release that RNS as they are legally bound to . History tells us we are not going to get any news going by past few years . I am surprised no director buys , no information on any contract wins , no R&D info , no latest info on DHSC. No info on Yourgene products...... clearly there's no motivation to help the SP .

Dr DMS , but in Novacyt's case the government did order the diagnostic tests and therefore are liable to pay in full as these tests were later CDTA approved . I am with you , I hope the Judge throws out the DHSC claim and orders them to pay an additional £50-100M fine to Novacyt for the grief inflicted on the company to stagnate and share price to smash rock bottom . Maybe this is JW's strategy with keeping low key and not promoting Novacyt as to show maximum damage to SP inflicted by DHSC .

PI100 mabe you should have jumped on the bitcoin wagon. Unbelievably, Bitcoin is moving to all highs now and generating a few more multimillionaires. I never understood this bloody bitcoin and why so many people have invested in this. My GP colleague has made £1million from bitcoin , whilst I put my cash in Novacyt and losing my money as it stands. I don't understand this world.

How much cash could Novacyt have following a DHSC win at the courts ? My thinking is the only reason this could be going to court is that the BOD are confident of winning the case 100% and are not accepting a penny les from the UK Government .

Am i right we are looking at cash in total of around £100M - 150M

GLTrader thank you for your take on this matter. It certainly nerve wrecking watching this situation unfold. The BOD apart from acquiring Yourgene , have done very little otherwise to protect stakeholders. We definately need the BOD to produce the goods and show us stakeholders what they are going to do to make this company profit making and successful.

It was October 2nd 2020 when I first invested in Novacyt. It was also when Rolls Royce shares were at all time lows . Since then look what's happened to RR and to Novacyt. You be a multimillionaire now if you had put in what I have in Novacyt and instead i had put that money in RR. RR has gone up 10x

There was 80K & 40K shares sold in France today , Volume around 250K . 6% drop in SP . Not sure why , someone shortening the share or market makers dropping the SP to hit sell limits
