RE: 2nd Referendum25 Feb 2019 19:56
I'm sorry Snige but I totally disgree. May has been brilliant. She was handed a poison chalice by Cameron, who ran away when matters did not go his way, then despite disagreeing with Brexit has performed admirably in a no win situation. It is easy to stand back and criticize, like being a fielder in a cricket team ', and say I would have demanded or done that but when thrown the ball and told to get on with it, it becomes a whole different 'ball game'.
It takes two to tango in a negotiation. I would say to May don't budge, we voted for out and out we will go. We did NOT vote to leave only on a deal, we voted OUT. To my mind they (the EU) are more scared of us leaving that we are. We saw off the spanish in the 16th century, the french in the 18th and 19th century, and gerry in the 20th and if necessary, the whole of 'bloody Europe' in the 21st. Europe owes us more than we owe them. History is NOT bunk, it should be remember for the right reasons. We have had glorious previous generations, let us stand fast and show that we are of the same mettle as they. . GLA and 'Rule Britannia,' now once more unto the breach', ;fix bayonets' Jerusalem', pass the port, gird the loins, finish the game of bowls, stiff upper lip, and all that.
I mean, lets be honest, the french have terrible public toilets and I fear they may spread into our glorious land; it's bad enough having women toilet cleaners in the gents, with vice versa being even worse, let alone having a pond full of legless frogs (not drunk).. TIC.
