Hi Broc: just a bit of light humour. I've been invested hear for over 2 years and with astute buying average 3.6p, so I need to humour myself. Also in GGP so it could be worse. It's bad enough as I act for my foreign domiciled daughter. Still remain highly confident though in a successful outcome, just hope it's sooner that later, poss November 1st. Some seem to have forgotten Broadford Bridge on whose back we went to 10.5p. The oil hasn't altered, just requires a different mode of extraction. If you ever come to Hull and you enjoy good ale there are some great small breweries in the area. GLA. As we sat down to our dinner last night, umpteenth takeaway, my other half starting to discuss holiday destinations. She suggested ' I like to go somewhere I have'nt been for a while'. 'Try the kitchen,', I replied. Let alone the doghouse I also got 2 takeaways: the 2nd being on my head. GLA, it's a bit quiet so just a attempt at humour to pass the time.

Just remembered why I was trying to make an original post yesterday which resulted in Mullins58 being so helpful. There appears to be a gap of recorded RNS's between 10th July '17 and 6th March' 18. Am I reading it wrongly? Thanks in advance.

Nice to hear from you. We've both been somewhat quiet on this BB recently; probably for near enough the same reasons, except that I haven't been toppinmg up the tan on distant shores. I trust your break was up to scratch. As I was adopted, I am unfamiliar with the family's service history, excepting a uncle or some relation I have never met, was captured at Arnhem. He trained my eldest brother (met him when I was 30) to commonwealth gold in wrestling. Apparently he had great respect for the Germans for the treatment he received after capture. He came home; I take it some of your relations didn't. Respect, not a lot more we can give them except to teach our children about their sacrifice and to remember. At the moment I am home alone with a 3 year old nudist granddaughter. Taken a few discreet photos to leave behind to embarrass her on her wedding day; or whatever they will be doing in 15 to 20 years time. Probably won't be there but can hope . I keep an eye on Bpc;. How right you are. A nephew of my wife, just 21, teaching sailing in Southampton (very talented), went to see his doctor for a check-up. The Dr noticed a mole on his back so sent a tissue sample off simply as a precautionary measure. Nine months later he was dead. Enjoy every day as if it's your last, one day it will be. We don't knew when, but a fair proportion of those lads, 75 years ago' had a pretty good idea it was to be their last;. And they went anyway. A special generation who did their duty. I have been in awe of them from the time I realized exactly what, not only had been asked to, but what they accomplished.
I watched this morning, a 95 year old sailor who was transporting the Americans to the beach, relate that on his SECOND run into Utah, he had to drop the doors onto bodies not knowing whether they were alive or dead. The poor chap was very distressed, even after 75 years. They do not grow old.....

Hope we are all enjoying ourselives. Just pause a moment and remember the young lads who, 75 years ago, although they were petrified were running up beaches into a hail of bullets mortars and shells getting cut down in their prime, if that, in order for us to enjoy the freedom we have. They gave their lives, just give them a minutes thought. As the sun goes down...............

I voted to join the common market which, as I understood it, was to be an area of free trade without the restrictive and time consuming barriers in place. Firstly we average 3.4p so we're underwater but started buying at 1.01p. The initial reason for the investment was our belief in the company and trust in SS. That remains unaltered. It is therefore my opinion that the incessant moaners on this BB are the short termers or day traders who enjoy and prefer a fluctuating sp. Thus, imo, based on the fact that cash loss will only occur when one sells, the present SP, whilst mildly disturbing but unreflective of the true value of the company (imo), will not be of concern until the time comes when either we are forced, or wish, to sell. Until that time arrives, we (as I act for a foriegn based daughter), remain unconcerned although, naturally, would be happier with a higher so, but cannot see the point of continual moaning which only serves to inflame passions.
