Two questions for the remainers
1). If you voted in the referendum, did you, when you voted, intend and expect your fellow remainers to honour the outcome;
2). IF you did would you care to explain why, 3 YEARS after the government received it's instruction from the populace, we are still in the EU ?
Personally I believe that, because remainers have been cosseted by the UE and feel protected by the pack mentality, they suffer from agnostrophobia unable to comprehend what it will be like fending for themselves in the big wide world. IMO

Who voted in the referendum? Aliens!!!! I really thought we'd had a peoples' vote to decide whether the UK wished to leave, or remain in, the EU; therefore a further referendum can only ask whether or not we are prepared to leave without an improved deal (a deal having already been offered and agreed). If the outcome of any such vote happened to result in a vote to leave only with an improved deal (IMO unlikely) that would put us in the hands of the EU. All they have to do is refuse to consider improving the deal in order to keep us in. Therefore, to adhere to the already completed 'People' vote, we HAVE TO leave FIRST, and then seek an agreement to allow the French to sell us their champagne (mainly for the remain city slickers) and wine, the Germans to sell us their cars, and the Spanish their produce, and to stop the EU depositing their detritus (I refer only to those who come to abuse our hospitality)) upon us. IMO.

We, the British, have a healthy dislike at being beaten by our ' friends' across the pond. We laughed at Trump, his hirings and firings and his arguments with Congress, and took comfort from the fact that most of the world was laughing at him. So we had to go one better; we have ALL the world laughing at us. Thank you parliament; our standing in the world is now, if not zero, damn close to it. For hundreds of years we produced great statesmen, but I'm afraid since Thatcher, whether you liked her or not, that trail has regrettably gone very cold. IMO

An mp (no capitals) died and went to the pearly gate where application to enter heaven was made. In The queue was long, but to the mp's surprise St Peter rose from his desk, came down to meet and escort him to the front of the queue.
The mp remarked that, while appreciating the attention, he failed to understand why he was being singled out for special treatment.

I am absolutely certain the EU needs us; it is the EU's problem that the UK does not need the EU as lawfully decided by a referendum. A persistent concern now is,
should somehow the remoaners manage to force another referendum, is that many will not vote in protest as the instructions to parliament by the majority, were totally ignored. Many, like myself, thought long and hard before casting our vote, and many, like myself, are thoroughly disgusted that the decision we reached, to leave, was ignored. Additionally further exasperation is caused by remoaners persistently claiming we, the leavers, did not vote to leave without a deal. We voted to leave; a deal in the first instance was neither proposed nor considered therefore highly improbable that the decision to leave would have altered. LEAVE, deal or no deal, would have almost certainly been the decision reached. IMO.

A few weeks ago I had a very loose tooth (gold as well). I didn't mess about., No waiting for a dentist's appointment; I pulled it straight out. A few minutes pain but done and dusted and now fully healed. The sooner we're out of the EU, the sooner the healing process can begin. IMO

The NATIONal interest !!!!!!. The nation has decided. OUT;. no ifs, buts, or deals. OUT. IMO.

The above is akin to unprotect sex. Withdrawal will be messy but cheaper than the alternative. IMO

As Only if pointed out 22.21 in 1973 we, the country, voted to joined a Common Market, Europe without trade borders (forgot about the fishing grounds). I did not vote to eventually fall under the jackboots or succumb to the diktats of the EU bureaucrats covering every aspect of our lives. I am a European, but first I am British Therefore, I do not understand, Onlyif, why you voted remain. Each to their own and each has their reason.
The other day I went to the races. The horse I backed lost by a short head. I told the bookie I didn't agree with the result but the robbing bad..... refused to give me my money (50p) back.

That is a classic statement, I can hardly type for laughing.
Then why either bother with a referendum in the first place, which cost millions, or state beforehand that a majority decision would only be considered if it was an 80 / 20 in favour of leaving. Having been proposed by a remainer (who had never envisaged losing) a 50.1 l/ 49.9 vote in favour of remaining would, of course, suffice. IMO

Rum ple(ase); balanced reply, no name calling, excellent, but I disagree about Brexit. It is probably, whether a remainer or leaver, the top subject of conversation ATM (learned that recently; hate abbreviations as I usually have to look them up as a non mobile owner). However, as it has been on going for 2.5 years, we must surely ALL (excepting bumptious MPs) be fed up to the teeth with it. I am. Come 31st October I, personally, want it done with. Roaring success or abysmal failure? There is only one way to find out. Problem is, we will never know if the alternative would have been either better or worse. Surely that's what life is all about, individual and majority decisions. 'There is a tide in the affairs of men........' and all that and the right to agree to disagree, which we apparently do. Rumple ; l may be in the majority or minority, but either way it is my belief that a BB is for expression of opinion. If opinion, on this BB, was restricted solely to ggp I feel it would become a very humdrum place for an exchange of diverse views. There will be posters on this, and every, board with whom other posters disagree, that's life. Monotony is broken by, occasionally, reverting to off topic subjects, with views expressed with which we can chose to agree or disagree. The choice of challenging or ignoring views expressed with which we disagree is our right. A right we are all blessed with in this country which must be protected. Some, or at least myself, fear the erosion of this basic human / British right could be, or even is being, eroded by being Incorporated in the superstate or the EU. I voted to join the Common Market not the all encompassing diktats of the Union or Europe, others may well view otherwise, particularly those born without knowledge of our prior freedoms.
