Sorry, I've done it again. I have recently purchased a new tablet, and it either posts when, I've succumbed to relieving my frustrations by writing posts I usually decide not to post or, before I've finished and decided whether to post or not. Fat fingers. But to finish
I'm grateful to the safety net of the system (but not legal aid which is the lawyers' money for nothing pocket money). But take time to watch a food bank and see how many drive to get there, have expensive tattoos, and smoke etc. It is not poverty in most, not all, cases, but simple mismanagement of resources, very often as they have no sense if responsibility: look no further than unmarried mothers / fathers who expect the state to house them. None of us are perfect, but most of us try. The most hard working woman, with a heart of gold, I ever employed was always 'skint' but always found money for her kids and partner to booze away, or for fags, and / or tattoos, but always hiding from the rent man.
We all want to take care of the needy, but not the workshy greedy, as but for the grace of god.....
In summary, as this post is turning into a rant, social justice seldom comes from socialism, but from the benefits of capitalism, and there is a lot wrong witb that, but it does pay for the net which we demand for the unfortunate. Yorks, IMO when countries work together it just creates a larger trough and the biggest pigs always get there first then promote the idea of how beneficial it is to all. The Soviet Union was a classic example. When socialism floundered who were the first to get their snouts in the trough????

Owlo, you may have 'wanted' to stay in the EU. Wanting to stay in is irrelevant as our democratic style of government has decided, and written into UK law, that we are leaving the EU. It our good fortune, thanks to our brave forefathers many of whom died in the process, that we are not governed by a dictatorship but, rightly or wrongly, for better or worse, by decisions made by the majority. Dj777. Was thinking exactly the same when I read your post. Envy is one of the deadly sins. Mind you, so is jealousy which I admit to, but I have always believed that, whatever one wishes to achieve in life, the opportunity will amost certainly arise. The secret is (1) seeing the opportunity and (2) then having the bottle to seize it: and I must admit to lost opportunities.

I would be grateful for just one remainer to admit they lost a democratic vote to leave (which after parliamentary debate was written into law) and then fully explain WITH FACTS why they wish to obstruct the will of the majority. Drax: as a member of the country's electorate, I'm not overjoyed about parliament, together with members of the legal profession, attempting to defy the will of, as well as instruction from, the people.
I am also at a loss to understand a proposal to refer the question, of leave with the deal on offer or remain in the EU, back to the electorate. This proposal, merely confirms that the proposer, obviously a remoanef, is unable to comprehend the simple fact that the question, of leave or remain, was decided some three years ago. The only question left, for the electorate to decide if a further referendum is deemed desirable, is whether we leave with the deal on offer or without a deal. IMO.

Personally I do not expect any defining news from Australia until they have come out of their period of mourning. (40-16) could be a long time. GLA.
