Don't you remember the last time the UK Labour Party was in government in 2010, when Liam Byrne, the chief secretary to the Treasury under Gordon Brown, left a note for his successor, which simply said: ‘Dear chief secretary, I’m afraid to tell you there’s no money left.’
Maybe the other lot did leave a tax burden but surely that is no reason for making it worse by taking yet more out of our pockets. As for corruption and waste, name me a government which has not been guilty on both counts and as for Brexit it was the will of the people, not a government decision.
